Mandy Tregaskis lives in Durban, South Africa with her wonderful, supportive and tolerant (of course he is – he is married to a digital scrapper) husband, and their three beautiful (of course) children.  She started paper scrapbooking after seeing a friend’s album but found herself frustrated by the time it took, the space it required, and the constraints imposed by working in paper.  After reading an article in a magazine about digital scrapbooking (by designer Meryl Bartho) she went online and was amazed at the quality of the digital layouts in the galleries.  After promising her husband it would not cost much (only a more powerful computer, externals, bigger flat screen monitor and a bigger printer to print 12x12 – and of course faster DSL and more bandwidth) she tried out digital and is now totally addicted.

A journalist by profession, Mandy currently works from her office at home, to be near her children, and uses her digital scrapbooking as a creative outlet and sanity saver.  Her computer is her other ‘baby’ (the family joke is that in the event of a fire the computer is the first thing she would run to rescue… “of course not!”, she denies… it would be her externals!)

What is your fav junk food?
Pizza (but that’s not a junk food is it?)

What are your fav foods?
If its food, I love it! 
Love dessert even more!  Would prefer to start each meal with dessert.
Cannot survive without COFFEE and CHOCOLATE!

Where is your fav place to go on vacation?
The mountains.

What are your other hobbies?
Digital Scrapbooking, Digital Scrapbooking, Reading, did I mention Digital Scrapbooking?  Bead work is my ‘other’ hobby… now if only I could do digital beading and ‘Print the item’ my life would be perfect!

What is your fav color?
Green

What is your fav thing to do on the weekends?
Spend time with my family – preferably doing something I can photograph and turn into a layout in the evenings.

Who is your inspiration?
My family and the amazing designers at DSP who produce those kits I “just have to have”, that make me go out and buy clothes in the appropriate color for the kids – to match the kits of course!
