Teresa Loman is a Princess, if only in her own mind. She lives with the two loves of her life--her adoring husband and darling son, in a rural area north of Ann Arbor Michigan. When she's not busy with the needs of the men of the household, comforting her neurotic rescue dog, or volunteering at school activities and church functions, she enjoys spending time with her girlfriends, wearing her tiara in public, and designing next year's Halloween costume in her basement creative zone.

Teresa earned her Bachelors Degree in Elemen tary Education from Wayne State University, and taught third grade before moving to Atlanta, Georgia. While living in Georgia, Teresa started a home- based embroidery and screen printing business, and worked in a small decorating shop. Through these two very different jobs, she honed her skills in computer generated graphics and learned more than a text book could ever teach about pulling a room together with coordinating fabrics, furnishings and paint.

Upon returning to Michigan, Teresa and Dan were tickled at the birth of their son, Zachary. Teresa quickly became smitten with the new man in her life, and discovered that one could just never have too many pictures of a child. As Zachary grew, so did the mountain of pictures in his personal portfolio. A second mountain of pictures began to form as Teresa and Dan (Dan mostly) built their dream home in the woods.

Teresa stumbled upon digital scrapbooking quite by accident while helping with a school project for her son’s third grade class. A Google search turned up DSP, and her love of digital scrapbooking began. With digital scrapbooking, she could finally do something with her mountain of pictures.  The cyber world provided yet another outlet for her creativity…one that did not add to the clutter of her already over stuffed "creative zone."

Teresa’s other hobbies involve, sewing, knitting, crocheting, reading, and all things crafty. Teresa enjoys spending weeks during the summer and fall camping with her famil y around Michigan. She believes that wearing a tiara while paying the bills will make the money appear in the bank account and that chocolate is applicable to any situation. She is inspired by her vast network of girlfriends. From her oldest (as in number of years of friendship) friend, Kim, to her oldest (as in age) friend Etta, Teresa has learned the finer art of totally appreciating every little richness of true friends. Amid these wise, dear, witty, and sometime insane girlfriends, Teresa has shared the good with the bad, the empowering with the embarrassing, and the laughter with the tears.

Teresa’s dreams for the future involve finishing the house in the woods. Mostly she just wants her own bathroom with a fully functional bathtub. She also dreams of her creative zone being something more than cobwebs and concrete. She would like to one day write a book about the unique people who've crossed her path through the years. Her girlfriend, Lisa, encourages her regularly, but unless Lisa Wingate takes on Teresa’s stories as her own, she admits, they may never actually be written down.

Teresa is thrilled to be a part of the community at Digital Scrapbook Place and looks forward to many chats with her DSP girlfriends.
