Meet the Digital Elite Team

(Meet past DET members)

DET 15

Hi! My name is Addie and I live in Alberta, Canada and I'm so excited to be a part of this team! At home, I am a wife of 8 years and mommy to two great boys, Sebastian who is 4 and Jeremiah who is 2. In my other life, I teach high school math, science, photography, design studies, and fashions to youth-at-risk. I love being able to explore with my creative side as I learn more for my students.
I came across digital scrapbooking in January 2010 and had never scrapbooked more than a couple of pages before in my life. I loved that digi-scrapping is mess free (OK, not totally true...there are digital messes to clean up!) and I can work on it with my kids right beside me. DSP was the first and only community I joined online, starting with the NKOTB contest. Now, I love participating in challenges and chats and creating layouts to share with my family and my friends (online ones too!). I know that I am preserving moments for my boys to look at fondly when they are older. I also make pages for my students at the end of the year and am going to be creating a cookbook for Sebastian's preschool.
When not working or scrapping, I enjoy reading, photography, playing French horn, camping (only in the summer thanks!), and spending time with family. I am most certainly looking forward to working with this amazing team of scrappers and designers that make DSP what it is. If you're new here, just jump right in and introduce yourself and you'll find a home in no time!

I'm Cassandra.  I live in Orlando, FL excitingly close to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.  I have two children.  My daughter is almost 19.  She attends a Full Sail University and is studying Digital Graphic design (I'd like to think I may had a little bit of influence there).  She also works part time for Universal, so we're lucky to get free tickets once in awhile!!  My son is seven.  When he was 3, the doctors placed him on the Autism Spectrum with one indicator short of Aspergers Syndrome.  He's a handful, for sure, and currently has some medical issues we're struggling with, but he loves his Mommy.  That always makes things easier to bear!  My mom got me started with paper scrapping abut 14 years ago, and working my way up in a print shop abut the same time introduced me the magical world of Macintosh and digital design.  I taught myself Pagemaker and Photoshop and took over the graphics department for a good three years.  I work in another industry now, but about a year after I found DSP, I realized I could carry over my love of digital layout into scrapbooking. Although I still make an occasional paper page, digital has become more than just a hobby, it's what keeps me moving when things get rough.  I read as much as I can, looooove movies and music of all genres.  I'm also discovering the comic book nerd hidden not too deeply inside thanks primarily to my man, who also cooks for me, does my nails and dyes my hair.  I'm certainly feel unworthy of the grand company I have to look forward to on the DET, but I hope I'll learn a lot from each of you!

Hey there everyone! I'm very excited to be part of the DET, and I can't wait to get started! I currently live in Central Illinois with my amazing husband of 2 years and my 2 step-children, Gabe (10) and Avery (8) and a sweet Siberian Husky (Max) and a sassy kitty (Roxie)... who are the subjects of most of my layouts. Their activities keep us going from place to place, but we are enjoying every minute... I'm very close to the rest of my family, including my totally adorable and sweet nieces and nephews.
I am a Radiation Therapist by trade... I work in a large hospital/cancer center. If you don't know what a Radiation Therapist is, count your blessings. My job involves delivering radiation to patients that have cancer. I absolutely love my job because I feel I touch a lot of people's lives in a very emotional, stressful, scary journey. I feel God has led me down this path, and I'm using His strength to enjoy the moments I have with these beautiful people.
I have been scrapbooking since 2002, and just recently (in the past year and a half or so) really became a digi scrapper... My husband actually bought me PSE8 as a wedding gift! (he knows me well ) I love ALL the possibilities that is digiscrappn'! I love to just sit down at my computer and use it as an emotional outlet, and a way to give my kids documentation of our lives. I am obsessed with great coffee, trail mix, Disney World, Yadier Molina (STL Cardinals catcher), reading, reality TV, Harry Potter, Mike and Mike on ESPN, and of course, digiscrappn'! DSP is an amazing group of people and I am so honored to be a part of the team!

Hi all! My name is Janet and I live in Almelo, the Netherlands, close to the German border. I was born and raised here and, although it's a quiet town where nothing spectacular happens,
I never want to live anywhere else.  I have been married to my husband, Steven, for almost 16 years and we're still in love and very happy together.  I have two wonderful children, Linda (27) and Jasper (25), and a beautiful granddaughter Roxeanne (3).  Being a granny means the world to me and I'm spending a lot of time with Roxeanne. She's also the main subject in many of my lo's.
I'm also a volunteer for the Dutch RSPCA and a caretaker for the many birds that need our help.  I paper scrapped for about 2 years. My 10 cats loved it. Paper, ribbons, buttons were all over the place!
It just didn't work, so I gave up on that.  Going digital was the perfect answer to all the mess. DSP was the first site I found on the web and it's been my home ever since.
I love love love this place and I'm thrilled and honored to be on this wonderful team!

My name is Paula. I am married and a stay at home mom of two boys--Zachary (10) and Jacob (8) who is non-verbal and has Autism. They make me laugh, they inspire me and they teach me everyday. We live on a farm in a smallish community of a rural area in Kentucky, and though being "out in the country" has some disadvantages in regards to convenience, I wouldn't want to raise my boys any place else. I grew up in the city, and moving here when my husband, Eric, and I were married took some adjusting. I love the quiet, the clear skies, the room to roam, and the howdy neighbor charm.
Digital scrapping is my obsession, but I also enjoy getting lost in a book, trying to knit, crafting with my kids, learning, thriller and feel-good movies, spending time with friends and the love of my family. I also have a weird love-hate thing with cooking. I hate to cook--terrible at it--and really only do it out of necessity, but I love cookbooks and browsing recipes.
I joined DSP in August of 2007 and felt at home right away. It was, and still is, the friendliest, most helpful, energetic, talented site around and I am thrilled to be able to represent DSP as a DET Member again.

Hello! My name is Maria. Although I am originally from Honduras, I now live in beautiful Oklahoma with my husband of 10 years, Jorge. We have two kids and a Maltese who thinks she is a kid. They are the inspiration for most of my layouts.
When I am not homeschooling, you can usually find me crafting. I dabble in knitting, crocheting, sewing and card making but the two closest to my heart are photography and scrapbooking. It was my love of photography that first brought me to DSP and digital scrapbooking. I had been using embellished power points to share my daughter with my family but when I saw some pages that looked so real in magazines I decided to do an internet search and found DSP. I was drawn in by the free kit but stayed for the amazing members and designers who helped and encouraged me through my first pages.
So many years later and DSP is still my number one place to shop and play. I couldn’t be more thrilled to be part of DET 14.

My name is Christy and I live in Noblesville, Indiana, which is a suburb of Indianapolis. I have been married to my husband, Mark, for 13 years and I think he is the best thing since digital scrapbooking! We have two girls. Katie is 9 and Gracie is 6. They are loads of fun and personality and are the subject of nearly all of my pages.
Aside from scrapbooking I love crafting, reading suspense/mystery novels, watching TV (lots of reality for me!) and playing games on my big-girl phone. I spend too much time on my computer and my virtual homes are DSP and Facebook. Of course, I also love to spend time with my family.
My favorite color is pink, but my house is mainly decorated in light blue, cream and lime green. I love movie theater popcorn, Diet Dr. Pepper and everything at Asian Grille in Noblesville. I can't stand eating anything off of a wood stick, it gives me the chills. So I always leave a little bit behind if I have a popsicle or ice cream bar. Other things that give me the heebie-jeebies include chalk boards, nail files and porcelain plates. I have issues, people!
I got active at DSP in October of 2008 when I created my first digital layout for NKOTB. I knew then I had found my home! DSP means so much to me. I have made wonderful friends here, many of whom I've met in real life! I am looking forward to my third term on DET!

Hi, my name is Fay. I live in Christchurch, New Zealand, with my partner of 8 years and I'm a SAHM to our beautiful little boy Riley (aged 4).
Riley is the source of my inspiration and was the main reason that I started scrapbooking. I started paper scrapping in 2007 just before he was born as I loved the idea of creating a personalized album and preserving all our precious memories, but little did I know how expensive or time consuming it was going to be or that I would make such a mess whilst trying to make a single page!
It wasn't until 2009 that I discovered digi scrapping and I must admit that I was a bit intimidated at first as I didn't know how to use Photoshop all that well so my first few attempts were truly awful. I persevered with it though and I love that I can do it anywhere and it doesn't make a mess, it also gives me more freedom as to what I can do and change. I discovered DSP fairly early on in my foray into digi scrapping when I would search the internet for inspiration. I took part in NKOTB 16 but I wasn't really an active member until 2010 when I started doing some of the challenges and getting to know the place. I can now say that I am well and truly addicted to both digi scrapping and DSP and I have met some wonderful people.
Besides from digi scrapping, I really enjoy reading, baking, blogging and I'm in the process of teaching myself how to sew.
I am excited and honored to be a part of the DET 14 team.

Howdy! I’m Stacie (with an “i” and an “e”) and I and my family live in sunny South Florida. I have been married to my hubby, Lee, for nine years, and we have two beautiful daughters, Madeline and Charlotte. We also have a black cat (Severus Snape), a black Labrador retriever (Lady Atticus Black), a family rule that all children and pets be named after literary characters, and floors that are never clean.
I am a licensed attorney, though I am currently on an extended sabbatical. I am a bit of a jill-of-all-trades, moderately compulsive about learning new things, and at times an insufferable know-it-all (I play a mean game of Trivial Pursuit). My first job, which I took on at 15, was assisting my Calculus professor write a textbook. Since then I have been a computer technician, a new-crimes intake clerk, a business consultant, an advertising agency associate, a software programmer, a lay youth ministry leader, a graphic designer, and a high school English and Literature teacher. I like to stay busy! For the moment, I am on a career hiatus while I stay home to raise my precious girls, which has turned out to be my most rewarding career move to date.
I found digital scrapbooking about three years ago and quickly became obsessed, as I am prone to do with most of my hobbies. I am also presently obsessed with photography and am very fond of, though not quite maniacal about, sewing, cooking, and creative writing. I collect and read dictionaries and firmly believe that she who knows the most words wins!
A few of my life’s goals include to compete on Jeopardy!, be published in the New Yorker, eat macarons at Ladurée in Paris, see a live performance of Saturday Night Live, read every word Shakespeare ever wrote, and teach my girls how to be godly women… and to capture as many memories as possible on film, pixel, or paper in the process.

Hi, my name is Tane. It is actually pronounced Tawny, but because of the spelling, I answer to just about anything! I live in rural Kansas, home of Oil, Wheat, Cattle, Bob Dole and of course my dear Jayhawks. I am married to my best friend, Mike, and we have 3 boys, Jeremy 27, Joshua 26 and Steven 21. And my darling furry daughter, Indie!
I began working for the School District as a 'Lunch Lady' when my boys were still in school. It was a perfect job, home when they were, able to make all of their sports and extra-curricular activities, and have my summers free for Harvest. The plan was to go back to my office job when my youngest graduated. But, I'm still here. I found that I love my job, I love the kids, and it leaves plenty of
time for scrapping!
I have always love scrapping, but the expense and 'mess' always kept it on the back burner. When my son started college, he introduced me to Photoshop Elements. I was hooked for life! I stumbled upon DSP one day when searching for Elements tutorials, and it was love at first sight. DSP has become my 'home away from home' and my second family. I am so excited and honored to be a part of DET 14. I have learned so much at DSP, and I can't wait to see what the next 6 months have in store!

My name is Tracy Hunt. I have been married to the same wonderful man, Lanier, for 27 years and we live on Lake Lanier, which is just north of Atlanta, Ga., part time in what we are calling “Our Dying House”(cause we plan to live here till we die) and the other part of the time on our houseboat. We have two beautiful daughters, Jessica age 23, and Savannah age 21, and right now we have custody of our grand dog, Marley, although he may be moving back in with his mom soon.
Like most, I knew the old saying that time flies, I just was not prepared for how fast it can blow out of here. When Savannah graduated from high school it hit me like a ton of bricks that my babies were grown.  My passion for digital scrap-booking sprang up from the need to balance the overwhelming desire to hold on to them and the struggled to let go so they could grow into the independent women we want them to become.
I made my very first digi scrap layout on May 31, 2008 (at a DSP crop no less!) and I have been obsessed ever since. I scrap in PSE9 and love it. I also use CorelDraw to make any word art or text paths that I need. I’m not a chronological scrapper. I scrap the current events as they occur but the idea of starting from the beginning and trying to catch up is too overwhelming. So I rely on scrapping challenges, cool kits and song lyrics to inspire me to dig into my photo vault(shoe boxes) and scrap my memories.
My scrapping goals are to make 12 to 15 pages a month, print those pages every month, and learn a new digi trick a month. I am also striving to improve my photo taking skills by participation in my own version of project 365 and taking photo classes from local photographers.
I am beyond thrilled to be back as  a part of the DET, and I hope the layouts I make will be up to the high standards set by the previous DETs. Thank you DSP for giving me this wonderful opportunity!
