Cindy

aka cindylicious

I'm a single mother to two wonderful boys, Desley (almost 16) and Ryvano( 9). We live in the South of The Netherlands, right next to the German and Belgium borders.
I love everything creative, artistic and inspiring - including photography, scrapbooking and graphic design.
I fell in love with scrapbooking about 5 years ago when I bought the very first Dutch scrapbooking magazine and immediately was hooked. I started paper scrapping and still have many boxes full of scrapbooking supplies, which I plan to use again in the future for hybrid projects. When I was still paper scrapping I joined DSP and was constantly browsing the gallery for inspiration. I installed PSP to my computer and started to learn the program, making hundreds of lessons on a Dutch PSP forum.
I downloaded some freebies and did my first digital layout... I never looked back. I signed up for NOTB-8 and learned tons. I have since participated in many challenges and contests and all that lead me to where I am today.
I am excited to begin my term on this DET and I will do my best to inspire you and showcase the wonderful kits of the DSP designers.

I am so excited to be on DET 10!!!

Ineke

aka Ineke

Hi, my name is Ineke but my friends at DSP call me Inky.  I live in Melbourne Australia with my husband of 35 years.  I have 2 grown sons, the youngest Ryan is still at home with us.                       Ryan is affected by Muscular Dystrophy and confined to an electric wheelchair with only limited movement, but apart from that he is a whizz on the computer and very often I am seeking technical advice from him.I work part time for the Muscular Dystrophy Association looking after the accounts and my husband is the ED of the  MDA.  If I am not looking after Ryan I like to spend my leisure time scrapping, dancing or playing tennis and all of that keeps me pretty busy.I have always had an interest in photos and there is never a shortage of them around my house as both my husband and eldest son are keen photographers and also love to travel when they get the chance. I myself use a point and shoot camera but am thinking of doing a photography course so that I can get a handle on using an SLR and hopefully improve my photographic skills.I was first introduced to digital scrapping by a friend of mine and joined DSP in 2007.  Looking back on my earlier layouts it has been a giant and exciting learning curve for me and I am looking forward to stretching myself further on the DET team. I have never thought of myself as a creative person, but scrapping has allowed me to discover the creativity in me and it gives me great joy to create a layout that is pleasing to the eye.           I love nature, its beautiful tones and hues and I think that is reflected in some of my layouts.DSP to me is like a big family and through the granny thread I have found some wonderful life long friendships that are very special to me.  I love all the things that DSP has to offer us as scrappers, the wonderful competitions every month, the fabulous freebies, the tutorials, the designers who never stop to amaze me with the fabulous kits they design for us….I could go on forever!I

I am extremely honoured to be part of this DET team and will try my best to create layouts that will inspire the creativity in others and make some great friends along the way.

Jeanet

aka Jeanet

Hi, I’m Jeanet and I live in Denmark together with my husband of 3 years and our wonderful dog. We don’t have any children but luckily for a scrapping addict like myself I get to borrow photos of close friends’ son Xander. I started scrapping right after my wedding and joined DSP for the freebies. I didn’t really explore the community back then and really missed the encouragement to try harder since Digital Scrapbooking was still an unknown thing in Denmark at the time so after a few months of trying I stopped and didn’t return until almost two years where I started to explore the DSP community and slowly finding my way around digital scrapbooking. I’m still learning and loving every minute of it. When I don’t scrap and I might as well admit that I do that a lot I work as a part time assistant manager at a store and wait for the day where I can finally work with communication and use my education for more then smalltalk with the customers.

I’m so excited to be back on the DET after a six month break and look forward to once more work with so many different products from the talented DSP Designers and continue to explore the DSP community, now as a part of the DET10.

Jen

aka luv2stamp82

Hi! My name is Jen and I live near Charlotte, NC.  I moved here from PA about 4 years ago.  I wanted to get away from the snow (I am not a cold weather person) and I haven’t been disappointed.  The weather in NC is absolutely gorgeous!!  I have been married to my husband, Dan, for 5 years this December.  We have 2 boys, Aidan just turned 4 and Zachary will be 2 in December.  I have been a SAHM since Aidan was born and decided this past year that I was ready to go back to school to be a Physical Therapist Assistant.  I started the program in August and I will graduate in May of 2011.  As you can see, I am pretty busy.  Scrapping is my stress relief!  I have been crafty my whole life, I think I’ve dabbled in every craft imaginable.  I actually started scrapbooking when I had to do a senior project in high school.  I had traveled to France for 2 weeks the previous summer and thought that would be a neat project to do.  That was around 1999.  I paper scrapped for years after that.  In 2006 I stumbled upon DSP.  It was the first time I had ever heard of digital scrapbooking, but when I saw the amazing gallery I was immediately hooked.  I just could not believe the things you could do with a computer program.  What I really loved was that I didn’t have to clean up a mess every time I wanted to scrap a page.  I think this was my 4th time trying out for DET, so to all who didn’t make it this time, keep trying!!!  Don’t give up.  Your skills do grow the more you scrap, I am proof!  DSP is an awesome place to learn new things and there is such an amazing group of people here.   The designers are so creative and I am thrilled to be able to show off their work.  I hope I can inspire all of you the way previous DET teams have inspired me.  I know it’s going to be hard work to keep up with the rest of the fantastic DET 10 team, but I am ready to go!!

Lisa

aka boobearsmama1

My name is Lisa. I live in Virginia. I am happily married to my best friend. We recently celebrated our 10th anniversary. I have an 8yr old little girl and we are currently expecting a baby boy to arrive in February. I currently work as a nurse and attend school to further my nursing training. Scrapbooking has become a huge passion of mine. I have been at DSP since the beginning of my scrapping days. My main source of my pages would be my daughter and family. I was a part of the DET 4 and I was tremendously thrilled to win a spot on this team. DSP products are amazing and I love having the opportunity to scrap with the fabulous designers here. I love helping other scrappers. It's such a thrill to see new members grow to become members of the DET. I love scraplifting and being "lifted". Thank you DSP for giving me a chance to preserve my memories with your kits.

Muriel

aka MurlieMac

Hi!  My name is Muriel.  I've been married to my husband Lee for almost 31 years.  We have two grown children, who both live within 20 minutes of us, a son Tyler, a daughter Breanna who is married and my little love of my life, granddaughter and favorite subject to scrap, Rylee who was born in June. Lee and I live just outside Fall Creek, WI on a small hobby farm.  We have 2 Arabian horses, 2 dogs- a Belgian Malinois named Rowdy and my sweet little Australian Terrier named Boomer.  We also have 2 house cats, Bart and Sophie.  I work full time at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
I've always had a creative streak but never seemed to quite find the perfect outlet.  I did a little paper scrapping, but I mostly collected scrapbooking "stuff".  Last year I wanted to do a photo book for my daughter before she got married.  I was at my sister-in-law's at a shower for Breanna when she showed me a book she had created on her computer.  Well I was fascinated, bought the software and completed the book in 3 weeks.  I was frustrated with the limitations that I had with my original software so I started perusing on line and found DSP.  I was so taken by the beautiful LOs people had done. At about the same time I discovered a laptop that I had access to had PS CS3. In fact, my very first LO with PS CS3 was completed last October for NKOB 14.  Thanks to DSP, the wonderful designers, the help I received whenever I needed from all the wonderful souls here and the great classes at DSP, I think I have finally found my creative niche!!
Besides digital scrapbooking, I also enjoy photography, horses, flower gardening, listening to audiobooks, fantasy football and hanging out with the fam.
I hope to do justice and inspire you in the next 6 month to the beautiful designs that our wonderfully talented and creative designers create. It is truly an honor to be part of  DET10!!

Natalija

aka TalyQ

Hello, my name is Natalija and I live in Serbia, Europe. I have been married for over 17 years and we have 6 beautiful children aging from 16 years to 21 months (5 girls and 1 boy). I am a homemaker and mother first, but also help my husband in ministry with radio broadcasts, children and teen ministry, as well as music.

I was introduced to paper scrapping while we were temporary in the US, but when we returned home, I didn't have any supplies nor a source for it. That's when I discovered digital scrapping. I was a member of a digital scrapping forum, where I found out that DSP was being formed and I joined among the very first members in 2004. But our dial-up internet connection was so expensive at that time, that I couldn't even afford to download most of the freebies, much less participate in the forums. So, I worked on my own from bits and pieces and uploaded my layouts, occasionally dropping into the forum to say hi. But then about two years ago, after having our 6th child, moving, one computer being broken and the other not wanting to run Photoshop I just kind of stopped. Yet, a few months ago I finally got a memory upgrade, we got better internet and I decided to get back into scrapping full speed to catch up on lost time. I felt like a beginner the first few layouts, but soon things started to come back to me and thanks to tutorials, constructive comments and my DSP mentor I was able to feel at home with Photoshop and DSP again! Because I have no way of purchasing kits, I tried to make the best use of the wonderful freebies and enter challenges and was lucky to occasionally win a gift certificate to purchase a kit. Printing pages is pretty expensive here, so for now most of them are only in digital form, but I hope to slowly be able to print them for our albums. Besides digital scrapping, I love to sew for me and my family, and do other creative things. I am blessed by children who usually run around with a camera and take great pictures for me to scrap. All the older children are also good artists and at home with computer art. They are my inspiration and the reason I want to scrap memories for years to come. I am looking forward to using the wonderful designs DSP artists create and to hopefully inspire other along the way!.
Rachel

aka MyPinkFlipFlops

Hardly a day goes by where I don’t want to make something. I have an incessant desire in me that yearns to create, to change, to make better. I've always been an artist since I was very young. I made it my major when I went away to college. This year, I've made scrapbook pages, elements, cards, refinished tables, painted the living rooom, hung frames, and arranged the decor in my new apartment. I blog, bake, sew, and paint. This year I also made the most beautiful creation of all. My son AKA Baby Boots. We make messes together. He's part of me, but being a mother isn't the only thing I'm about. I'm also a devoted wife to Mr. Black Sneakers. He's my biggest supporter (and sometimes rescuer when I'm in over my head) through it all. I have a desire to improve my life each day. Improve my mind by learning new things. Improve my body by cooking healthy meals, making meal plans, and exercising (even if it is just chasing around Baby Boots!). Improve my future by preparing emergency kits and food storage. Improve my soul by reading uplifting things, attending church and working on personal worthiness. Improve my heart by finding ways to serve others. The best thing I can create is a better version of myself. It happens everyday when the sun rises.
I'm so excited/nervous to be apart of DET 10. I hope to live up to the standards set before me! I love DSP and am so thankful for this opportunity! I've learned so much by participating in chats, challenges and the wonderful inspiration from the members here. I never would have imagined at the beginning of this year when I started really getting into digital scrapbooking that I would be on this amazing team, but like they say, "Dreams do come true!"

Sam

aka sammimagoo

Hi there, my name is Sam. I live in Australia and have been happily married for 15 years to Phil (we all call him Changa), and in that time we have had 3 gorgeous, rowdy, crazy, full-of-life boys. There is Baxter (8), Archie (5) and Kobe (3), so it is a house full of testosterone so a little escape to my PC for some scrapping time-out is my idea of bliss.
Before kids, I used to run my own Architectural Design & Drafting business. When the boys came along I was lucky enough to be a SAHM for the first 5 years of their little lives…so Kobe being 3, I have 2 more years to go. I love hanging out with my guys, I’ll miss it when I have to start working again. Although…3 boys…any job will be like a holiday after them J
My mother would tell you for most of my life I did not have a crafty bone in my body. She was the crafty one, knitting, macramé, cross stitch, hobby text, you name it she did it and no matter what she tried to teach me…it just didn’t stick.
Then I found scrapbooking about 8 years ago, just after Bax was born, and paper scrapped for about 6 years on and off, but I found it getting very expensive and harder and harder to leave my stuff out with the boys around, so I went in search of the DIGITAL experience. I thought…if I can draft and design buildings on the computer why not scrap on them…and I haven’t looked back.
I found DSP through a friend I met at the boys school, Sheree (aka Butterbly) in July 07 and have been quietly lurking around here ever since. I started to play with my PSE5 program and took the plunge a few weeks later and joined NKOTB9, that was so much fun and getting all the comments and guidance was so uplifting that it gave me the confidence to keep creating…thank goodness because they were some pretty rough layouts when I look backJ
I love scrapping, and no matter what standard we are, we will always have so much to learn in this craft and this site is just a terrific place to do that. The designers here are so creative and I am so honoured to be a part of this DET team to work with their wonderful kits. I will do my best to inspire your creative side and look forward to making a whole heap of cyber friends along the way.
6 months of total devoted scrapping…BRING IT ON!!!!

Scamp

aka scamptx

Scamp here, living in a cozy apartment with my cat, Ting, in Austin, Texas, although my heart is in NYC. I have four grown children and three grandchildren who are scattered about the US and in Japan. I love to travel, and use DSP crops and get-togethers as an excuse to hop on the plane and go! As a result, I’ve met lots of my dear DSP friends in real life, and look forward to meeting many more.I became aware of digital scrapping when taking classes at a local scrapbooking store. I’d gone in for the stamping and book-making classes they offered, and tried to paper scrap, but it just didn’t take. But several magazines had examples of the digital variety, and I was intrigued. I found DSP as I stumbled around the internet, and the friendly atmosphere here drew me in. I lurked for about six months before getting up the nerve to post a layout, and haven’t looked back since.I started out with PSE4, moved to PSE6, then won PSCS3 at the first Adobe crop (talk about thrilled!), then this year with my conversion to Mac computing, was *forced* to upgrade to PSCS4. I’m on a learning curve, but I love it.Other interests besides scrapping, Photoshop, and travel include reading and genealogy. DSP has conveniently had crops in areas where I had ancestors, so I could travel, scrap, and do genealogy research all in one fell swoop!  And have I mentioned that I’d rather be in New York?

DSP is home to me and I can’t imagine a life without my DSP family. I am honored to serve on DET 10, and I look forward to the new challenges, friendships, and opportunities in the next six months of scrapping for our awesome designers!
