I designed a thank you card (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=67386&cat=500&ppuser=15651) and had it printed through Winkflash.

I just got my order and it is COMPLETELY unusable. I'm SO disappointed.
I double checked all my measurements and winkflash's specifications and then sent them an angry email. If you look at my card, the printing on the front of the card STARTS half way through the T and STOPS half way through the S. You can't even read what it says.

It's like the stretched it an inch bigger than plopped it in to print.
My preview was perfect.

I sure hope they give me some sort of response because I was happy with my xmas cards and their prices.

Right now, I would NOT use them again and would advise all of you not to use them either. I would hate to see anyone send off a beautifully designed page to get back what I did.

I was so excited to get these cards and actually write my thank-yous this year! Darn!! Off to mope. :(

Sorry to hear about the misprinting. On your link, you stated you were going to have them printed on 3 x 5 note card. What size was the paper they printed them on?

I don't have a ruler near me.
The cards were designed to their specifications with an extra variance given. They recommended a quarter inch for bleed, I made sure all my print and pictures was a half inch from the edge.

Their reply to me was about bleed and variance which I MORE than compensated for.

I double checked their specifications and my photoshop file before emailing them to make sure I didn't screw anything up. PLUS the preview I got from them was right on the money.

It does seem that something is wrong with the sizes but I followed their instructions perfectly.

I'm just upset.
This was going to be such a cute thank you and now I'm back to store bought cards if I want to get them done this week.

It is strange that the preview looked right yet the printed version was wrong. I surprised a human being doesn't look at these print outs before shipping them out. It obviously was printed wrong. They should have redone them.

That's why I don't like using commercial printing places. At least when you print at home, you can quickly fix anything that needs fixing and you know its done right.

Maybe there is a local place that can print them for you. It would be a shame not to be able to use them. Did you check with walmart or costcos?

Happened to me with them too -- they cut off a large portion of my cards. And the color wasn't great at all! They had good prices so I went with them and I should have stuck with my normal places (whcc or clubphoto). They also took forever to get my stuff to me. I ordered them 12/8 and didn't receive them until 12/23! When I asked about their guarantee, they informed me that I'd have to send them all the prints back. Phooey. I ate the $11 and won't use them again.

I had similar problems with Wal-Mart and my thank you card. I got it reprinted and then they cropped it crooked so I had to use a paper cutter on all four sides. Fuji prints are 3 7/8 x 5 7/8, not 4x6. Janet mentioned that Kodak Easy Share does true 4x6 prints, and since I also had problems with Snapfish on my 5x7 ABC albums being cropped too small, I'll be using Kodak for my next order.

I know how you feel - it's so frustrating. And the people at Wal-Mart thought I was too picky.

WHAT!!!! they thought you were too picky!!! that is soooo sad...where are peoples standards these days. They should be the picky ones....not letting inferior prints leave their counter!!!! That's why you've really got to develope a relationship with your developer....the guys at sams club by our house know our family well. They've sat there and worked with us when their machine was auto correcting color and causing the picture to be off.

Its nice to find people in the photo departments who really really care about what their doing and realize these are peoples memories....its not just their job and don't bother them with details.

Oh Bethy I am soooo sorry to hear that! I ordered my Christmas cards from them-5X7's-the file I sent them I had resized it to 4.75x6.75 and they came out perfect-guess I was lucky. I had the same problem when I ordered from Costco-it's very frustrating!

I got some 12x12's printed at Costco today and was so pleased with the prints. I'll definitely be going back there :)
