YES! Anyone can upload to that sketches gallery, and the're useful for Quick Crops as well

(You can even host your own every other Tuesday during the Member-host crop), just sign up on the calendar anytime you want, or sometimes when I'm hanging out I just opst an impromptu sketch and title it CHAT NOW! People come into the chat room and we use the sketch and hang out and scrap.

Have fun, sketches are a wonderful way to kickstart the imagination

Emma - one more question. Do they need to be my original? I have a few that I've done from ScrapMaps - are those allowed as long as credit is given?

dunno, I've never heard of that site, so if you think posting/crediting it complies with the TOU here, then post away (AND if it's allowed to post or "redistribute" the sketches according the THEIR TOU). If it doesn't comply with ours or theirs, you could perhaps just credit the specific artist if you know, or shoot an email to them????

I don't think we should share other peoples sketches in the inspiration gallery. They may not like that too much. You would definitely have to have their permission to do so. I think it would be better if it were made by dsp members. That way no trouble could come from having it posted for everyone to use.

This lady asks to have her sketches credited and even a link back to her site if possible. I have been crediting her when I use one of her sketches in my layouts. I have sent her an email to request permission to post the sketches in the sketches gallery also.

She's not really a commercial site and she sells no competing products. It's only a sketches website and it's free.

I will not post unless/until I hear back from her on this.

Got a reply from Bree, the owner of ScrapMaps. She said she would prefer that I post Links to her sketches and not the actual sketches themselves. Soooo...I will continue to give her credit in my LO's and not post them here. But here's the link to the website it's self. Lots of good ones to inspire you!

I am very new to digi scrapbooking. I have been reading about sketches but I am not sure what you do with them exactly. Are they just to be used as layout ideas, but you do the creating yourself? It's not something that can be copied into a PSE?

Any info appreciated.
