I got an email last week asking if I would be interested in having a 2 page layout I created be published in the February online magazine at another site. It will be the first in their new feature called "This is Why" which will point to layouts that remind us why we scrapbook. I know it's online but being published is being published - I think right????????

which I created for Stacey Jewell Stahl's new WONDERFUL journaling class (DSU 295) this month. So thank you very much DSP designers for creating wonderful things for me to scrapbook with, thank you to my buds on the DET team who help nudge me along when I get stuck and a very special and heartfelt "thank you" to Stacey and my fellow DSU 295 classmates. You guys rock!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations Darla - so well deserved! Your layouts are always great examples of the "Why We Scrapbook" question, full of great journalling and heart. I remember that layout well - a terrific story so beautifully preserved for your family. Congratulations (OK I said that already but thought I would say it again!)!!!!

I'm sooo excited for you!!! You deserve rich honors for your wonderful layout and heart felt journaling!! Your work...everything in your gallery.....is a shining example of why we journal and why we scrapbook. It's so cool that someone outside of our little community here recognized your talent!

Your grandmother would have been so proud and so touched by this. You're preserving memories for the present generation to enjoy, for future generations to remember, and to honor those who have passed. That's what Stacey's teaching us...we're all helping each other learn how to do this effectively....especially you, my dear friend. You're right out there, leading us all on by your examples. We want the future to know about your grandmother, my mom, Maggie's sister and all those who hold special places in our hearts...we're all trying to do what you do so beautifully!!

OHHHH Darla....I am so GEEKED that we get to be in the same class together and that I get to "rub shoulders" with you and all our other wonderful classmates while Stacey "makes" us do these things...LOL!
It has been a wonderful class....and you've been a wonderful source of inspiration.

Darla, this layout deserves this recognition, for it is so incredible that it's hard to find superlatives that do it justice. The story is so amazing and the photo so wonderful that it looks like this could be an ad for an old movie.
