Today I scanned in a picture at a higher than usual resolution on my hp psc 2410xi Photosmart. Instead of the usual 200 dpi, I scanned at 1200 dpi.
The scan took much longer but I didn't think anything about that. The picture turned out great...but the problem is that when I went to remove the original from the scanner tonight, a part of it had stuck to the scanner bed. Removing it trashed the picture and has left a spot on the scanner glass which I need to clean off....(any suggestions?)
My question is...has anyone had this happen to them? Did the longer scan time contribute to the problem? Did it cause the glass to get hot or something? Why did the picture stick?????
(By the way...the glass was very clean before I started the scan. I had carefully wiped away any dust with a lens cloth...no solvent was used).
Any suggestions would be appreciated...I'm afraid to scan anything right now:( .
Thanks,
Linda
