I'm excited to make the move to more digital scrapbooking but unfortunately I've already discovered one drawback to paper and glue. I can tinker on my layouts literally forever :D

Anyway, I have 2 versions of the same LO posted in my gallery and although I think I've decided which one to use I would love to have some other opinions.

This will be a title page for my book of our recent trip to Hawaii. But which one to use??? And any suggestions/critique's you can offer are certainly welcome as well.

TIA

Totally my own opinion, but I prefer the plain one for the cover .. you'll have lots of insides for the individual pictures. Love them both though!

Definately the plain one - that's a spectacular background picture!

I like the plain one as well - then use that great photo for a page inside.

I agree - the plain one - but they're both beautiful!

I'm new to this myself, but I absolutely prefer the plain one. They are both nice, but the plain one stands out more. If it were me, depending on how it looks at full size, I might play around just a bit with the text/box in the lower right. I might consider making it just a bit bigger, but shrinking for viewing it on line can be deceiving and I'm still getting used to it (in other words, just ignore me <g>). I love your cover, it is just beautiful! Makes me wish I were there right now! I hope you have a lot of fun with this!

What a hard choice, they are both gorgeous!!!

The plain one gives it a sophisticated beginning and the other one gives it a funky fun start, so either one would be just as good as the other.

Very inspiring, I've got a Galveston trip to the beach 2 summers ago that I have to scrap.

Thanks for the opinions! I think what I will do after thinking about it and reading what you've said is to use the 2nd one but take the family picture out to use elsewhere. I think the journaling on the plain one is kind of unnecessary since there will be plenty inside...plus something about the box was bothering me.
