Yesterday I found out about digital scrapping in a magazine and today I discovered that there is a whole new world out there to discover. Great!
But...to get started is difficult.
I have a program called Photostudio 5.5. Can I use it for digital scrapping? And where do I begin? Which tutorial should I follow to get familiar with it?
Can anyone show me the way?

I haven't heard of your program but we'll try to find someone who can help! Welcome to the world of digital scrapping. Browse the gallery some and read "new to digital?" at the top of the page. Check back here - I'll do some research and meanwhile someone familiar with your program may be able to help.

I looked up your program - it says you can layer photo elements so I think you should be able to use it for scrapbooking. You'll have to begin your documents the size you want to print, then fill the background by pasting a background there (like from the beginner kit from DSP) and then adding photos and elements - there are tutorials listed above (they are for other programs but the concept will be the same).

If I am correct, Photostudio is an older program and may not recognize transparent PNG files (download a freebie, bring it into your program, if you have a white or black box around it, then your program won't work).

Thanks a lot for your reactions. My pc is indeed several years old. I'll give it a try with photostudio but I will probably try to get my hands on the more current programs as well. It certainly makes it easier to follow tutorials I think.
Thanks again from Holland!
