I just took a bunch of video of the kids dancing: does that count? At least with photos I don't get all the whiny sound effects...

I think the last photos on the camera my husband took of my birthday cake...I have to go dump the card to remember what I last took, or even if the birthday cake is the right thing!

How do you remember?! Just me lookin' dumb again

Okay, I just looked, and now I remember I took photos of the kids playing with suds in the sink. A real Christmas in July since they had their hair cut short and put bubble hair on when Taya decided to make Santa Claus beards, and well...a good journaling layout in those photos!

:D

I took about 200 photos at the beach yesterday. I'm not a "one picture" kind of gal. I plan on taking about 200 more tomorrow. Yikes, what will I do with all of these.

Wow you ladies have really beeen busy:)

Susan whats a moon flower? would love to see a pic:)

Pam, grandsons, I have only the 1 as yet and my camera is always turned on him, poor wee man:)

bpalmer, wish I knew your first name :) your floral photos from Disneyland were lovely, but that was last weekend? time to get that camera out again:)

Emma, can't wait to see the soap suds hair dos, remember my own kids doing that, actually probably even did it myself :)

Amber, woo hoo, haven't read your post about the new camera yet, will get to that next, but how exciting, will expect to see lots and lots and lots from you in the very near future:)

Erica, snap, I'm not a 1 photo girl either, even with film I shot roll after roll always 2 or 3 of the same thing, especially with groups, just to make sure I would get at least 1 with everyone with their eyes open, now with digital and 2 x 256mb and 1 x 512mb cards well the finger does get a little carried away. From viewing your entry to the aperature challenge and reading these other girls comments on your work I'm really looking forward to seeing more of your stuff :)

Jacqui your work is some I would love to see more of also, you shoot with feeling and your images show this, look forward to seeing more:)

My last shots were taken yesterday of my grandson (who else :) ) I look after him 3 days a week while his mum has just returned to work as a dental assistant and we were playing pirates, so I'm looking forward to doing a layout using Jennas pirate page set.

I used my camera's video feature tonight on my sister's kitten chasing a laser pointer.

The last photos I took were last weekend of my sister's kids at the Renaissance Faire. Patrick got cast as the dragon in St George and the Dragon. Plus, he's written a little play and I took photos of the kids acting that out and doing a little morris/sword dancing. They're dressed as fools, so they're very colorful and very cute.

Thanks Karen ,
I really appreciate your comments cause you know I love your work. I am just exploring a style of lighting with a fantastic photographer called MarkWangerin , his style totally rocks . check out his site http://www.wangerinphoto.com/
The lighting I am looking at experimenting with ,with instructions from Mark is synchro lighting , anyone heard of it?

fantastic photographer called MarkWangerin

Hey, Mark Wangerin was my HS Science teacher! He sure didn't look anything like that guy on the "About Mark" on that page, LOL! Not a common name, how funny.

He does have awesome stuff, love that old-school look.

wow Jacqui what great images he creates, his lighting is stunning and in nearly all of his portraits the eyes of his subject really shine, really become the focal point. I haven't heard of the lighting you talk about but I'm sure it will be exciting learning from him. Would love to see some of your results.

Hi karenj,
he really does sharpen the eyes and uses the 50's feel to the full on some of his portraits.
I am pulling my website together at the moment so I can finally showcase my style and get the kinda clients I really want . :D

I would love to post some pics of ths style of lighting when I get a chance to talk to him hopefully this week. It's the time difference that causes the problems in talking to each other, hopefully I will get to talk to him soon and get some good pointers

I just took pics of the kids. My DD, Emma, was doing some posing and wanted her pic taken, I also took some pics of the baby sleeping. I think they were taken last weekend.
Don't get too much time to take pics and they're ALWAYS of the kids. :o
