Hi! I'm trying to change colors in kits--such as the bows and ribbons from Feminine Denim Kit. I have tried adding an adjustment layer, Hue and Sat. changing the white bow from white to pink. I can get the bow to change to pink but not the ribbon???? Then when I drag it to my layout it changes back to white? What's that all about? Someone mentioned doing a graident map adjustment--I don't even know what that does. I really wanted the ribbon and bow the same pink as in my layout, also, with just changing the opacity.
Please advise

Oh, by the way, I'm using PSE 3. Also, I'm trying to change a layer. I simply want a large rectangle. Do I delete the one I don't want and make a new layer--Do I use the marque tool on my existing layout--when I do this--It paints around my photo. I've tried locking my layers. What am I doing wrong?? I'm getting frustrated--!

Try putting them in your layout and then adjusting. Adjusting color takes a lot of practice and work depending on the image. White is also hard to adjust.

I'm sure someone else will come along an d give you some better advise. It might also help to know what program you are using. :)

Hi Terri

If you're adding a new adjustment layer you will need to flatten the layers together first.

Go to Layer> Flatten Image
OR, if you have just two layers, try ctrl-E and it will merge the two together.
Then drag your recolored bow to your new LO.
