Effect help please

Can anyone help me ?

I am trying to gett he effect shown in these below images of the faded photos can anyone help please???

To get images like that, you really don't need effects. you just raise your transparency to around 50% to achieve similar to the first image and probably around 65-70% for the second image

I don't use pspx but in photo impact that is how I create looks like those

yes i can do the opacity but to me these photos do not look like they have any background to them i want to get it so the face is just on show.

Sarah- I don't use your program-

but I use magnetic lasso to cut out the face-
Then copy to my main LO- and lower the opacity on that layer-
