Help w/ PSP 9...Toolbars & their tools...

Hope I can explain my problem here...however since I'M confused...I'm guessing my question will be confusing too. :rolleyes:

I am in PSP 9.0 and I used the tool that is for making preset shapes - a rectangle, ellipse, etc. But now I want to go back to using the deform tool on some of my layers and I can't seem to SHUT OFF that rectangle shape tool. KWIM?

When I select a layer on the layers toolbar, I am not given the option to select the "raster deform tool" as I normally would...my cursor is still trying to make the rectangle shapes....

Hope this makes sense, I know this is a simple fix but I cannot figure it out! :confused: :confused: :confused:

sounds like you might be in vector edit mode (on the tool options, from the left, are : Preset > Apply > Mode (with 3 choices: the knife blade is Edit Mode) -- you'd just need to click on Apply to finish the process. HTH

Another thing I've found .. when all else fails, close the program and start again. If that doesn't work - reset your preferences to default and you should be good to go. Let us know if none of these work.

Thank you both, I'm not *quite* sure what I did...but I *did* correct it.

Based on what Lizzerd92 suggested...I deleted something on my layers palette...in doing so it switched me back to the basic mode I would usually be in...thanks so much for pointing me in the right direction. :)
