Tonight I was working on a project for my husband. I was making him a shadow box scrapbook page for his retirement. Last night I was trying to collect some information and items to put in the box, when he came in and started to go through some stuff in my room. He found a corner rounder punch I had had years ago. Tonight I needed the corner rounder and he went to look for it. He found 3 of my old scrapbooks from years ago that I had assumed were lost. I was pretty sick when we made two moves in the last 7 years so he did the packing. Tonight he came inside and had the old scrapbooks. They had been sitting outside in shipping crate. The paper had obviously been wet, but the pictures were still in great condition. So tomorrow I'll start to scan them into my computer.

I never did find my corner rounder that he had the night before!:D

Oh, Kathy, what a blessing to find them! What an incredible relief.

Maybe the corner rounder has gone off to hide with something else you're missing<g>

Congrats! That's wonderful!

The other day I found one of my 256MB flash cards that had been missing since Sept! Had tate's 1st day of 3rd grade on it. I was heartsick when I thought they were gone for good!

So glad you found your scrapbooks. Several years back I lost #1 daughter's wedding pictures and #2 daughter's graduation pictures. They were accidentally put in the recycling bin with a bunch of old newspapers. Exactly how it happened is a long story. When I realized that the negatives were with them I was REALLY sick. In fact, it still upsets me when I think about it. But I figured if I was going to lose anything, better the photos than the people.

I know how you must feel. I just love my photographs. They are so dear to me. I have always loved photography. I used to take a million of horrible pictures when I started to travel a lot. Then my father and mother suggested I take some classes because I REALLY needed them. Since then I have taken a million more photos. But I get sick when I think of all the great photos I could have had had I takent he classes first. Some are really good photos, but many are just great family memories.
