I am offering for the first time in March a new class - DSU 185 - Easy Photo Management and Editing using Picasa.
This class is written for beginning scrappers and more advanced users alike.
Picasa is a free program designed for easy photo management and editing.
Although it is free, it allows the user to make some fairly advanced photo editing tasks with a few clicks of a button and is often underused.
It is not a perfect program and does have several faults which can be frustrating but putting those aside it is worth learning to use the program in its entirety to make the most of it – and lets face it – you can’t beat the price !!!

In this 2 week class we will cover many of the ways you can use Picasa to organise, manage and improve your photos.

You can sign up for this class here- http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=2176

In the first lesson we will cover the basics of using Picasas photo management tools and how useful they can be for organising not only your photos but your kit and element collections as well. More than half of the 2 weeks lessons will cover its wonderful photo editing tools and you will learn that you can recover wonderful images from ones you might normally have thought worthless. ( I also briefly cover the other great tools that Picasa has such as back up features, creating gift cds, screensavers and slideshows and more.
Here is an image that I edited using just picasa- you can do this too!!!!

I wanted to sign up for this class, but the store doesn't accept my creditcard  That's strange, because I took another class in december and then I had no problems. I'll try tonight at home, can't figure out at the moment what the problem might be.

Anyway I think it's a great class. I'm already using Picasa, but I need to take time to learn more about it. When I sign up for this class, I will take time for it :)

When does it start by the way? On the first day of March?

Well, yes and no :) . I just signed up, using another creditcard. But I didn't try the first one anymore, so I don't know what's the problem with that one.
But for now it's not an issue anymore.
I'm looking forward to the first lesson.
