all of a sudden my PSE is acting crazy.
when i select a tool like the paintbrush or pencil (others too) when i drag my cursor onto my canvas the cursor (arrow or brush shape or whatever) disappears.
i must have inadvertantly done something. but i have no idea what.

Could it perhaps be a temporary memory issue? - have you tried restarting your computer???

i tried restarting and it still does the same thing. AAAAAHHHHH!!!!!
any other ideas?
Is there something under File>Preferences>Display and Cursors that allows you to change which type of cursor you see? PS has some different options, but haven't checked that out in PSE yet.
My PS cursor sometimes decides to spontaneously change itself, and I have to go reset it several times before it remembers what it's supposed to be!

i think i figured it out ...
when you have one of the painting type tools selected, you can toggle between something and something else (i can't remember what it said) by pressing the CAPS LOCK key.
this would be easy to do accidentally.
VOILA!
