Can someone help me? How do you get the picture under an element that covers part of the frame in a plopper? The file is png and I thought I could move the element to the front but I can't. Am I doing something wrong or is this not possible? This is the first plopper I've tried and I'm starting to feel like a newbie! :(

TIA,
dax

Will you post a store link to the Plopper you're using? It would help to see exactly what you're trying to accomplish.

On the fly, I would say to use the Selection Tool to select the element, then use that shape to make a mask over the photo or actually cut the photo. But again, I'd have to see the actual Plopper to know for sure the way to go about it.

Emma,
I'm using the "Bookworm" plopper - here is the store link http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/detail.jsp?itemId=42163&category=19524
I wanted to get my picture under the little clips. Thanks for any help!

lots of options really. you can do as emma said and select the part of the plopper you want over your pics, and copy and paste, so you have a new layer of just that part for the top. or you can just select the part you want on the top and delete that part of your photo so it appears behind the background... :)

Yes, just as Margie said: either promote the selection to a new layer or cut the photo using the selection you made, or add a mask to the photo using the selection. Let me just add:

Making selections of various types, promoting them, and masking are all covered in our PSP class, a lot of it in Week 1. So have a stab at it, or wait until the subsequent lessons come out and try it again.

But I think you're familiar with making various selections, so you should be good to go. Ask back here if you run into problems with the details!

I recommend either promoting to new layer, or mask the photo, so you can still tweak and move the photo around and not actually cut it.

Thanks Emma and Margie! I'll make a stab at it and if I can't get it done, I'll take your advice and wait until I learn more in the class.

Thanks again -
