First LO in gallery

Well, I just put my very first layout in the gallery. I'm not sure if the file size is correct, but it seems to look ok.

I use PSP, and I was wondering what size most people save their jpg images at, for putting in the gallery. I reduced mine to 2x2, then used the optimizer to compress the size down.

Any feedback on how to prepare images to go in the gallery?

I save mine to 500 pixels by 500 pixels and I usually save at 72 dpi but if its for a contest then I leave it at 200 dpi. Hope that helps.

There is also a tutorial in the tutorial section that explains how to size for upload that makes it simple. I size mine at 600. Hope this helps - Wendy

Even for contests I reduced my layouts to 72 ppi -- screen resolution doesn't recognize 200 ppi. Then in PSP, as Eileen stated, I use the optimizer to get it down to the 125k allowable size for the gallery. There are tutorials listed in the links above -- for various software and how to reduce a copy for your gallery.

I reduce mine to 7x7 at 72 dpi.Just fills the screen nicely.
