So, as we continue to add to the Quick Classes (and to the UNIVERSITY!!!!!1 WOOOHOO!), we'd love to know some of the topics you're interested in learning more about - either through the self-paced Quick Classes, or through DSP University Classes (coming SOOOOOOON!). What are you interested in learning more about?!
PHOTOGRAPHY! My photos really S(#&*#(CK! They make or break a layout...my sister posted an awesome layout several months ago, but then sent me another copy with a differnt photo Plopped in, it turned from awesome into nothin' special real quick!
COMPOSITION! I have such a hard time arranging things on a page. I know that graphic designers follow guidelines and intelligently break rules. I'm clueless, and it shows on lots of my stuff
GETTING PUBLISHED! I wanna join the club! We need to have some tutorial about the various methods to submit layouts for lazy girls like me!
That's my top 3 for now... :)

I'd have to agree -- photography, composition - what makes one LO really rock, and another ho-hum.
Shadows - I know this is the key to making things look realistic, but how much, and how dark, and how soft?

Another site I frequent (paper scrapping) is so big on design principles and I am learning a lot. Oddly, I find design even more challenging in my digital scrapping than I do with paper. Color theory...triangular relationships between elements (or photos) on the page...designing with fonts.... I know, I don't want much!! :p

One other thing, and this probably sounds kind of stupid, but cropping. What is the rule of thirds, and where do you decide to crop to make your photos interesting?

Realistic Bows - I just cannot seem to get this right!

Yvette,
Have you seen the tutorial that Cheryl Barber posted on the elements group for bows? It's so simple and realistic.

Fibers & Torn paper (For PSE not PS) I've found alot of tuts for PS but when I try and translate them to PSE they don't work right. It'd be nice to just start with the right (specific) instructions to begin with. :)

Composition and color theory are my biggest hurdles. I am so overwhelmed by some of the stuff I see you guys post that I haven't posted to the gallery.

I also would like more PSE tutorials (echoing Elizabeth's sentiments). I'd love a tut on brushes in PSE - I tried to adapt the PS tutorial and managed to get close with workarounds, but so many of the PS options are not available in PSE.

Photography and Shadows!!!!!
I notice that the layouts that are awesome start with an awesome picture! My pictures seem so blah to me. I'm starting a digital photography class at LVSOnline in May. I bet scrappers here would love to learn some photography tips to help in their layouts.
Sometimes when I add a drop shadow to an element, the element sort of sits there with a dark edge around it. I want my elements and text to "pop" off the page! A class on offsets, opacity, blur, color of shadow, etc. would be great!
Thanks,
Canay

Canay- Im taking that same digital photography class! Im really excited about it!
Ok- so Im not sure what exactly to call this but I would love to learn to make LO's like those done by Carver (Veronica) at SBB. I know it starts with a collage- but I want to know how to apply all of those filters, etc to get that look.
More tutorials on how to make elements and a complete page set.
Ive seen some references to using masks in LO's- I have no idea what this is. Maybe some classes on that!

When I started and was using Photoshop Elements I found a good tutorial changing a color photograph to a black and white sketch. Then I changed to Photoshop CS and can't follow the tutorial...the two programs are too different. I don't want to put PSE back on the computer just to do sketches. Someone must know how to create the effect in PS-CS that is just as effective.
Laura Lou
Laura, post a link to the tutorial. I can't think of a reason a PSE tutorial can't work in PS, so it's probably just a simple terminology fix, hopefully :D I'm always on the lookout for a better pencil sketch technique, would love to see it!

Photo resoration.
I have many terrible quality old photos and would love to do a class on cleaning up effectively not just trial and error. Particularly faded spots.

More photography Suzanne!!! I agree that the best LO's have fantastic photo's, but I would also love to be able to do LO's like AlohaMamma, they look fantastic! Not sure what she does, but I want to do it too!!!!
Elements of design and how to effectively use a tablet.
Also something about using brushes in PSE (or is that already incorporated into something else?). I keep hearing talk about making brushes, but I don't even know what that means.

I agree with Leah on Brushes. I played with it a few times and was amazed. I am sure I am not even coming close to the potential. I have PSE 2.
