i made a super quick gift for my grandmother, a pocket calendar cover. see it here. (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=510) but it's just a $2 calendar from walmart with puppies or whatever on the cover. i measured the outside page, made one in photoshop, cut it down, slipped it in the plastic first, then slipped the calendar back in. so fast and she just loves it! puppies are cute too, but this is a personal cover with her great grandson, a very meaningful verse, her name on it... anyway, a great gift! and sooooo easy to make! i think everyone will be getting one next year! Ü
(and i've attached it as well)

I love this idea too. I think this would be great for my older daughters (teenagers). :D
Would love to do it for my mother, but she doesn't use them anymore :( , she is so tech savy, she has a PDA now....woohoo...for her..hehe. Got any suggestions on how to decorate THAT?????
This is a challenge for you ladies...can u come up with something to decorate a PDA?

YEAH DEFINITELY!!! does she have a color PDA? With windows CE or some comparable platform. You could do a little page that she could set up for her wall paper just like on the computer. That might be fun!--Of all your kids? Just a suggestion.

Oh, cool idea!!! Yes, she has color and it is not windows ce or pocket pc,(its palm os) but u can have jpgs on there...so that would work.
Now, why didn't I think of that....rofl

What was funny is that I was just thinking of putting little copies of my layouts on my pda so that I could show people where ever i go...Awe the virtual wallet full of photos...I wonder if that will bother people as much as bringing out the wallet photos that are 3 feet long :-P
I'm SO going to do this for Mother's Day! Thanks Margie!

Oh these are awsome - Can anyone tell me where i can get them on the Gold Coast????? Ive been looking just cannot find!!!
Really? They are so common here in the US, you can find them in almost any store!
The grands were so impressed with these at Christmas! My mom rarely says anything, but she kept talking about hers!

for those of us who are "size" challenged, can you please share what size this is? :D

you know i have no clue right now. i took out the cover that came with mine and measured it. it's less than 8½x11 though. it's a calendar that's purse size. lemme measure. it's (folded) a little over 3 3/4" x 6 ¼". that's just rough though, be sure to measure the cover before you do any planning, so it takes into account the fold and all that. hth. :)

Great idea I had bought some photo books for 75¢ and I was planning to do the same thing with them. If I can find calanders I could make a set. Now just need to take pictures just as cute as your kids are. Mine like to ham it up unless their sleeping.

I found some great pocketbook sized calendars at Dollar General. They were $1 each. I just removed the cover insert they had, measured it, and drew a line down the middle so I would know about where the center would be. I'm making some for all the females in our family. Real easy to do!!
