"The Women in My Life" Mini Album Challenge

I'm starting a new challenge with my "Vintage Memories" mini album to create an album about "The Women in My Life." Laura Lou asked me for a feminine companion kit for Shabby Treasures (the mini that Marcee Duggar and I created) and I told her about my "Vintage Memories" kit and she inspired me to do a challenge with it.

This alpha matches the mini album that I made with my Vintage Dogwood and Matchbooks & Memories page kits.

I LOVE the idea of having a companion album to The Men In My Life album. But first I am doing a memory album for my siblings about our Mom who we lost last year. Some of the pages I will add will go in a separate memory album especially for my daughter who was very close to her grandmother and still has a hard time dealing with her loss.

Shabby Treasures and Vintage Memories mini-albums work together so beautifully! This will be such an abum from my heart for my children and grandchildren when they become interested in their roots.

Would it be acceptable to make a mini-album from the Vintage Dogwood and Matchbook Memories kits if someone already owns these two individual kits?

These mini albums are so addictive! But I do have a good reason to spend so much time on this one. My brother's birthday is the 19th of this month and one sister's birthday is May 1st; I would like to be able to give them their copies for their birthdays.

Stacey, it worked! *jumping up and down like a kid at Christmas* Thank you, didn't even think of that and that is how I fixed the photo before. I can work the clone tool half way decently. So many tools to learn and master. :) Thanks again!

And thank you for all your kind words and encouragement. It is really hard to go wrong with all the layout work pre-done and in such a beautiful way.

Finished up a few more pages on my day off. As you can see, I did little else. *small guilt feeling wells up* But it's gone now, DH always supportive about rest and relaxation and turns the blind eye to undone housework or has been known to do it himself. Where he really comes in handy is the cooking! He's now up to about 90% of the meals. :) More time for scrapping! :)

Stacey, I don't mind a bit. I tend not to think of her in the past tense myself. She is here with me every day. How could she not be? She IS so much of the fabric of my life and character.

Two more pages here and one more to go, two more to post. I will probably try to finish the last page and start printing today so they can dry. My brother's birthday in 9 days but he is in California now. Might be a little late but I don't think he'll mind.

Last two pages, finally. My printer is smoking. Pages are strewn from one end of my craft table to the other. Like the Shabby Treasures Mini Album, I have several other mini albums I need to make with the Vintage Memories Mini Album. Stacey, it is wonderful working with your albums and page kits. They showcase the photos and journaling beautifully and I don't have to try to rely on my limited scrapping skills for a beautiful finished product. On to the next project...

Okay, here goes my second mini album with this kit. I just got done printing the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th copies of the last one for my siblings so they could have them for Mother's Day. It will be the first Mother's Day without our Mom. But, this will be my Daughter-in-law's first Mother's Day so I am starting this second album for her. Got to work fast! Here is the first page that I finished.

I have made my first age in my Woman in My Life mini-album. My grandmother passed away this week and for the funeral and visitation, I was able to scan in photos and prepare montages. So I'm taking the opportunity to take the photos scanned and build a mini-album for my aunt - my granmother's caregiver.

For the record, I didn't realize that I looked a lot like her until I really studied these photos. This almost could have been me at that age.

Worked really hard this weekend trying to put together an album for my daughter-in-law's first Mother's Day. There is not much journaling here because I don't have as much history with her and she is a very private person. We grow closer as time goes by and of course sharing a grandchild helps.

OK, I'm getting tickled. I'm getting all sorts of great comments about my layouts - how they love all the stitching and all of the little details add so much and the textures of the papers - how realistic they are. I'm getting all these great comments and Stacey did all the work. How cool is that!!!

I know the official challenge for this is over but are there ongoing mini-albums? I haven't had time to make mine with this kit but its on my to-do list. Or is there just a general album category?
