What colors and/or page kits should I consider to do an album of my pictures from 3 weeks in Bavaria and Austria? I don't want to design every single page as if it was a single layout. We went a variety of places, mostly historic old buildings, fortresses and cathedrals but many of the castle pics are very ornate with lots of gold. What kinds of coordinated colors and embellishments would be good so I can keep a common look and feel throughout the whole album yet still accommodate a stone fortress from 1400 and also a king's palace filled with tons and tons of gold??

I took 2000 pictures, so obviously my first problem is to decide which ones to keep and scrap.

Wow!! sounds like a great vacation...I have a few suggestions.

First DSP has a CD collection called scrap of colors perhaps they would interest you. http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/items.jsp?category=12272

2nd why not divide it up??? Maybe use a different kit for each city you visited...so maybe you can decide on 5 or 10 or whatever # of layouts for each city and use 1 kit then the next city use another kit??

Or maybe you can divide it up by the weeks or by country?? That way there is definitely some variety but not too much and you can visually see the changes by the different elements??

GMTA Liz - i was thinking cd too but I was thinking that the All about me cd is an album themed cd and it would work really well for historic type scenic layouts that would all tie in really well
