Hi there ..my #4 stepdaughter ,Bonny, is having a baby at the end of Aug (have just found out it's a girl !!!! Yayyyy!!!!!!!!!!!! and her VERY efficient friend is already organizing her a baby shower !! Anyway ..she has asked me to make a book /file that the guests can fill in with snippets of advise for the new Mum ,and we can keep track of gifts etc and that we can scrap photos later of the shower . Does anyone have any bright spark ideas here or have done something like this ?? Should I do a mini album ?? I'm a bit lacking in inspiration at the moment so ANY shove in the right direction would be VERY gratefully received !! Thanks in anticipation ..Kay :D :D

I think a mini album might work - you could print it with spaces for people to write in - but then you wont have the photos - perhaps have them write on paper then scan the papers in later and add the photos to a mini album

I made a mini album for my student teacher in a similar way. The kids all wrote a farewell message. I took a photo of each kid. I scanned the writings... did my LOs, brought in the pics and the scanned writings. It turned out very well!

For your shower, you could photograph everyone there, give an opportunity to write on some stationary coordinating with the kit you will choose. Then later assemble the pages with the photos and the scanned writings. It's not quite the same as having something to present to the guest of honor at the shower, but definitely worth the wait!

You could do the following and have one page for each subject. Then people can decide what to say about the subjects:

1-2 pages for Momma (leave room for a picture of Momma - maybe a frame with the words DO NOT WRITE IN THIS AREA). The title of the page can be something about words of advice Momma cannot live without.

1-2 pages for Daddy (again leaving room for a picture of the new Daddy). The title of the page can be either words of advice for the proud papa or something about how to get the new Daddy to help.

Then a page for things like first bath, first tooth, first food, Daddy changes a diaper, first word, rolling over, getting dressed (a picture of baby being dressed), etc.

The picture would be in the center, a words of advice would be surrounding it.

I hope this helps. If nothing else, helps spark an idea.
