I am requesting a special prayer for Ryan tonight - he has a very bad cold and his chest is totally filled with congestion making it impossible for him to breath - I would take him to hospital but I am scared that they would perform a tracheostomy on him, so I am trying to manage the cold at home and clear the secretions as best as I can. On top of that he has a pinched sciatic nerve which is giving him a lot of pain, so as you can see he is in a bad way. Thank you

Holding warm positive healing thoughts for Ryan, and for you too, Inky!

  Was it on Sunday? Wondered what sent me off to the ER!! Seriously, thanks for thinking of me. There has been so much stress in life for the past 2 months that I haven't been doing much here. It started with the new computer and Windows Vista hating every program I use. Then snowballs at work, but I think we are headed in a forward direction again. The trip to the ER confirmed what I thought, but it was something I had to do. Having suffered panic attacks for 20 years, I knew it was the culprit. Still, not having one for 10 years then makes you wonder if it is just that. They said the EKG was fine... now to find time to do fun things again. Thanks again for the thoughts and gentle tugs

Glad you are ok--I know how that feels! (Breathe....!)

Miss Crystal, how many different types of fish are there, and does your hubbie know them all personally? I only know what comes in cans!! salmon, tuna, sardines, herring!! And white pointers of course!!

I'm with you on that one, Vallie--it either comes in the can, or cooked ready for me to eat!

07-10-2007, 08:38 PM
Well, maybe slight exaggeration:rolleyes: . We get bream, flathead, whiting, leatherjacket, mullet, sole, barramundi, gemfish, hoke, taylor, redfish and that is from the fish shop not the ocean!! So between the cans and the fishmongers I know my fish!!

Now you've lost me...:santa1:

Thanks for all the well wishes for Ryan:love3: :love3: :love3: :love3: :love3: . We had a bad night last night and only got a few hours sleep, Ryan woke up this morning with a very tight chest and not able to breath well at all, I spent a few hours doing percussion on his chest to try and loosen the phlegm and as he is unable to cough for himself because of his weakness I used a cough assist machine on him, which simulates a cough to try and bring some of it up, he is feeling a little better now that he is sitting up, the only problem there is that the mucus all sinks to the bottom of his chest and can become infected there. I will rug him up and take him to our doctors this afternoon so he can prescribe antibiotics for him and see if anything can be done for the bad pain in his leg. Thanks again for all your concern:hug:

Ineke, we sure hope Ryan improves quickly. I so admire the way you are able to care for him. I know some days must be difficult and you do it with such love!

I am concerned about Carma as well. I last heard from her on the first and she was leaving for Billings, Montana on the 3rd. Since my illness, I have not heard from her so I hope there is no problem with her. Please let us hear from you Carma.

Thanks again for all of your prayers and beautiful cards. I am planning to print them for an album. The scoop on my illness is that we are going to watch it carefully and not do surgery at this time. I will go in for another CAT scan next week to see if there is any change. In the meantime, I need to take it very easy, not lift nor do any work. If there is any problem, get to the hosptal quick! Sounds like a dream prescription to me! Just scrap, no work! Thanks again Ladies.
LOL Freda, are you sure didn't just pay your MDs to say this  All scrap, no work, sounds awesome to me! Seriously though so happy you are doing better.

Morning Ladies, I'm off to hospital today for another epidural so pull on those red threads for me. they are going to do it whilst I'm in an Xray machine so that they can target the spot more accurately, it may last longer than 3 weeks this time.

Carma, we are concerned - where are you sweetheart?

I am so impressed with this with my Kit LO that Victoria did (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=199913&cat=500&ppuser=6532) you really have done me proud and embellished my kit beautifully with those adorable photos. Thank you Helene. xxx

More different ones than I could count. Yes, he knows a great many of them on a very personal basis! He, however, most ofen fishes for crappie, bluegill, redear, bass, catfish and the various kinds of salmon in our area. When ocean fishing, he goes for red snapper and grouper.

Personally, I have never seen white pointers in a can!

You are too funny Kay! I suspect that when they know I am stable and this thing isn't going to suddenly rupture, I will be told to exercise as well. It is just for the moment that I need to be "lazy".

I found another old message from Carma in my in box, she was planning to stay 10 days at her daughters in Billings and said that she doesn't have cable. We may not hear from her for another week and hopefully there is nothing wrong. These messages came in just before I went to the hospital, so I forgot. That is my story and I'm sticking with it!

For some reason lately, I am having cravings for fried fish. Wonder why that is, I think it has something to do with this thread. Thinking of Cathiemarie and Inky today.

What Omi said. :-(

It has been days since I've been online and I don't have much time now either. :-(

We played tourist yesterday - drove both sides of the peninsula and then drove up to the tip of another little peninsula near Traverse City. Bought yellow cherries (Queen Anne) and I think I'm going to put them in a batch of brownies when I go home.

Cherries are all over the place these days - trees and fruit stands are loaded with them. So are my DH and I. :-) They are so good. We've got local raspberries too.

We heard about a drive-in called Don's in Traverse City that is supposed to have world class malts. Will check it out next time we are over that way - maybe when Laura and Fran get here if we can wait that long. :-)

Gotta run. We are having D over for supper. D is one of the interpreters and is from Virginia. She and DH and I have been hanging out quite a bit and she's coming over for dinner tonight.

I've done no scrapbooking for days either. :-(

Vallie -

You are most welcome for the postcard. Nope. I have not climbed it yet. Maybe before we go, but that depends on what my knee does. It seems to be getting a bit worse. Grrr!

There's going to be a great concert at this dune this weekend but I won't be there. :-( My DH and I are giving a small and not so great concert at exactly the same time. Wahhhh! We may be the only two at our concert. Eight piece brass ensemble - free vs. mountain dulcimer, guitar, and washtub bass. No contest.

Must get you to play secertary for me and get me back up to speed with the grannies.

Just spent three days walking the hills in the Lakes Distract in UK. Wow, more living postcards, lots of lovely quaint farms, slate fences, lovely green hills with white fluffly sheep and soft eyed cows. We have walked miles, climb castles and visited Beatrix Potters home and farms. Taken just over 2300 photos, thank goodness for digital.

But now you'll have to sort through all of them! I can't wait to see the ones of Beatrix Potter's home and farm--she was quite fascinating!

I think I'll see if the store will let me finish shopping...

Hello all, there seems to be so many that need extra hugs and prayers. I hope you all know your included in mine!
My dear friend Jill has sent me email and posted me on who hasn't been so well.
INky ...i hope Ryan is doing better by now and the dr. has him on the right track.
Freda.....glad to hear your home and on the stricktest of "relax and scrap" bedrest!
Carma.....someone posted your not at home...so its good to hear its not because your not well that there's no post from you.
Jan W.....i can so relate to the panic attacks and the tightness in the chest. Hope your feeling better as well.
And Cathy ....i'm not even sure why your not doing so well.....but your still included in the prayer as well.
Rv'r....i wish i was coming with the rest of them to visit you. I have yet to get to that side of the state this year and your in one of my favorite areas of our state.
Oh...and be sure you go for the malt!!
Kay...thanks for the pm.
Update on my brother in law. He's home. There isn't much they can do for him right now till everything heals. A skin graft from his thigh was done last week to cover the amputation. There will be another surgery on his foot ( another bone graft) soon, but thats on hold. His spirits are still good but he's having a bit of a low now and then......he's praising my sister for her goodness......lol.
Now I knew she was good....what took him so long?? just kidding of course, he always knew too.
Anyways...thanks for the prayers and thoughts....he'll still be needing them. Lots of surgeries to go through yet and if he can just keep the amputation from infection this will be the best of news.
I hope your all enjoying your summer or winter. Is anyone in fall or spring? Hmm....we never hear of that do we??
Nicole....i've seen your kit....its fantastic!!! Do your thing and make your mama proud!!
Jill...thanks for the updates and the emails. You do spoil me!
hugs all

Thank you so much again for all the well wishes and prayers for Ryan - he had another sleepless night with the congestion on his chest making it hard for him to breath, we are spending hours just trying to keep the phlegm from settling down in his chest and up till now there is no infection there which is good. Another good thing is that the crippling pain in the back of his leg has improved a lot, so that is something to be thankful for, we will just have to try and stay on top of this cold and keep his airways clear for as long as the cold lasts, which in his case is usually about 2 weeks, so we have a challenging few weeks ahead of us - never mind, we will get through it!

Dags it is a good thing that you didnt have any accidents whilst confronted with a bear because you would have run out of underwear and have had to come home early!!

Thank you also for everyone who sent us a private message and despite being very tired I have still had time to spend loads of money in the DSP shop!!

They are off sightseeing now and are going to try and go and tour :twins: Cadbury's World Chocolate Tourist Attraction.:twins:

She said she's pulling red threads for Inky and Ryan and Freda too, and will be home on Monday.:yahoo: :yahoo: and feels ready to lay her head on her own pillow. During their trip they've checked into 15 different hotels along the way and now she's ready to come home.

Thanks Cathie! I got a pm from Dags too. She said she will lose a day coming home! This is her last day in England, then they fly to Singapore. The Rodeo was great fun; now I've "been there and done that" so won't really need to go again.

It's taken me nearly an hour to catch up this morning and of course, I have a very faulty memory, so tough to respond to everything. So, if I miss you, please don't be offended, just chalk it up to "senior moments".

Dags, this has surely been the trip of a lifetime and you'll have scrapping opportunities from here to kingdom come. Don't know if I'd like counting the days by the pairs of underwear still in the suitcase, but...   whatever works!

Cathie, hope your legs are getting lighter and lighter...

Freda, so glad you're still improving. Perhaps by the time you get to the "exercising" part, that'll just mean picking up your camera and walking somewhere to get that next photo to scrap!

Nicole, you kit is beautiful. Hope I can get that LO done to entitle me to the bonus.

Lizzie, so glad to hear from you again. Hope your BIL keeps improving and you Sis doesn't wear herself out. I'm sure they require and I'm sending lots more    and    and red threads.

Inky, sounds like you have several more days of closely watching and nursing Ryan's cold. Beat of luck to you and yours and of course, more    and    and red threads to you all.

Helene, those layouts just keep coming and I always look forward to them. I so admire your creativity and your never-ending stash of photos!

Vallie, you're just too quick witted. Sorry those numbers are spooking you!

All those above and EVERYBODY else, I love you. Gotta get ready for work.

they know everything!!!
So here I am ...in front of all of you kind ladies begging for a little help..

Im trying to make my very first element and I need to bend my rope/cord for it in a ^ shape. I am using PSE 5 and I haven't been able to find a tut to help me. I signed up for a mentor but haven't heard back yet..
Im very new to scrappin' but Im learning very quickly..
And I'm so excited to have this page done so I can post it with all my own things!
So if any of you would be so gracious in helping me I would greatly appreciate it!!
Thanks so much in advance!!

Sugar, I am so sorry I missed your question in T42. I don't use PSE (PSCS), however, if I were doing what I think you were asking, I'd "cut" the rope where it has to bend (looks like you want a point?) and duplicate the layer. Position as you want, and use blending tools to work the join together. I hope this helps? You can also try posting your question ins the Photoshop / Elements thread (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=73), however I have to agree, the Grannies do know everything lol!

Hello Ladies, I need your creative ideas please. My two neices are riding their pony at a show in August and there is a fun section for them. They have to go in Fancy Dress, the pony too. the usual things will be horse and jockey, cowboy and indians, the usual themes with rider and horse. The girls have beautiful Shalwar/Chemise suits so we were thinking we'd do Bollywood and dress casper as one of those beautiful Asian Wedding horses. But I need ideas please - if you have a better suggestion, that would be great too.

Waiting for your ideas.

OHHHHHHH -- I hope you will forgive me!!!

I've let the cat out of the bag!! My hubby was looking over my shoulder at the Flatties and was just about on the floor with laughter. I know I told him I've been off on adventures with you-all but he must have thought I was just being addle-headed again!!! Anyway, he wants to join us next time. No time to catch up on reading at the moment but have two interesting websites. For people who want to test themselves on U.S. Citizenship, the site is http://games.toast.net/independence/. (Be careful, though, because it incorrectly marked one each on my DH's and mine.)

For the nature enthusiasts, there are some truly elegeant looking insects at http://www.thaibugs.com/. On the home page, click in the trees instead of on the words.

I recently signed up for SNL and it inspired me to try creating some of my own things! I havent tried doing anything with their color swatch yet ...but I'm sure I will in the future!

This LO is done with all my own creations with exception of Jamies Rouselles -Nothing But Photos Quick Click and the fonts..(which I have no idea how to make)

This is my first time attempting to create anything and only my 8th LO!!
It may not be much but I sure am excited about it!!

Good morning everyone! I've put almost 75 miles on my bicycle riding back and forth to the coffee shop.

I've found almost $3.00 in change that campers have left behind in their sites.

Sugar, welcome and congrats on your elements. In addition to being one of the grannies and our dear friend, Meryl is our designer-in-residence -- if anyone could help, she could.

Karen, so glad your summer has turned into such a nice experience after a less-thank-perfect start. And $3!! That's three IOTWs. ;-}

Inky, so glad Ryan is feeling well enough to get to the computer -- kind of like when a female patient asks for makeup!

That is so sweet Chris! I've been a little busy but mostly just blah! Been kind of tired and achy. But guess what?!?!?!? My son Phillip is such a little smarty pants! When he took the Ohio Graduation Test in 10th grade he ranked in the 99th percentile in all five parts. Since then we get info and applications from colleges all over. Well, today we got one from YALE!!!! I was busting at the seams to show it to him. He flipped through a little and found the sports page, glanced at it, threw it aside and said, "No, thanks! They don't have a bowling team!" The little turd! I was so proud of him getting it though. He's gotten them from West Point and the air force academy, UCLA, schools all over! But, if they only knew his day to day scores! He is so lazy about homework and regular tests - he gets mostly Bs with just a few As. He just took the ACT for the first time - never prepared or practiced, worked until 12:30 the night before, didn't eat before he went, just everything they say to do, he didn't! He still got 29 composite! That's about the 93-94th percentile! He would be so super if he was motivated but he is so laid back. I'm sure the word "saunter" was made for him because that is just how he walks - justs strolls along like he has all day! But, he's mine and I love him!

When the kids were little and still believed (which I STILL do!), they used to get so upset with me because I would call Santa "the fat boy". I'd see him and yell hey, there's that little fat boy! They were mortified!! They would scream Mom, he'll hear you and won't come to our house! Oh they were so afraid I was going to blow it for the whole household! Now how can I scrap that?

LisasMom
07-13-2007, 04:55 PM
Another memory I have that I don't know how to scrap, is the time when Phillip was starting to *come around*. He noticed some of the obvious stuff and started thinking really hard. Finally he asked me, is Santa Clause real? Without even heistating I answered, oh you better believe Santa is real! Absolutely, Santa IS real. He thought for some more days and then asked again. Again, I said, Santa surely is real! So, he stumbled along some more and finally said, mom he can't be real - how can he be everywhere at midnight? I said, Santa is *real*, now I didn't say he was a *real person*. Santa is not a real person; but Santa as an idea, a belief, a custom and way of thinking, is very, very real! That made him really happy because then he knew he could believe forever!!

Yeah I noticed that too Nicole! There are more lines! Lines, lines, lines, all over the place! In between the little previews on the side in the gallery and in between posts and more in the *new posts* listing. Just everywhere! Maybe if we follow some of those lines, we'll find something fun! :ron:

LisasMom

Morning, ladies:hug: . I hope all is well in Granny land today.

Inky, I am very pleased to hear that Ryan is a little better, hope the night went OK and that he is a bit more better (grammar:think: ?:) ) this morning. You must be exhausted from lack of sleep and anxiety   . We are finally learning the line dance Champagne on Ice and it is lovely (Now where has that little dancing smiley gone too? Did you take him Inky??)!! BUT OMG, after all those turns I forget which end is UP:lol::eek:

Not only the GITs noticed the changes in format here, I logged into the site and had to blink a few times to adjust my eyeballs:eek: before I figured that it WAS the site and not just my Granny eyes:lol:  . Also, one of my layout uploads went straight to the gallery without the second upload page...very confusing :ron: :ron: (I thought I had done something wrong as well:) )

Tugging on all missing Gran red threads...we are thinking of you, come back and visit soon:hug:

Freda, hope you are continuing to do well, take care and follow the Drs. instructions to the letter wont you? (at least until he says to do something other than sit at the computer chatting and scrapping:D)

Have a great day everyone and WOS

Vicki, you need to do a layout of Phillip, add a Santa photo and journal it exactly as you did here! A great memory and pretty easy to scrap. (My DDs second grade teacher took it upon herself to inform the whole class that there was no Santa!) Miserable lady.

Freda, that's a great Idea for Vicki, why didn't we think of that??? :santa1: And I'm seconding the "miserable lady" statement, how could she??? I love Vicki's explanation of Santa too.

I'm thirding the "miserable lady" statement, but I don't think she was a lady at all!

Vicki, if you don't scrap that Santa explanation, someone else might just do it for you! I expect we'll see it tomorrow!

And speaking of tomorrow--I not only hope we don't crash the site, I most certainly hope the site lets us in and lets us stay in!! :santa1:

Miserable is not quite the word I would use but being a GIT, I do need to learn to watch my language!

I did go ahead and scrap that story! Thanks for the encouragement everyone! It was really quite easy with those new groupies Irene gave us in chat today. I just love that girl!! I saw loverly garden LO's tonite, Loverly Christmas trees decorated and
I never even got to the main galleries !!!

I have one lonely little LO to contribute to CIJ: CIJ Christmas Tree (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=200624&cat=4677), DGS talked me into decorating us a tree to contribute.

Ok, off to look around somemore and maybe do a LO for Chick's N Mar's on the garden challenge, see you all later...

I need an opinion and knowing the grannies, I will get a lot of them. :) For one of my favorite Christmas memories/traditions, I did a LO, that is a LOT different than my normal LO. Take a look and let me know what you think about the effects and blending that I added to my picture. Does it look ethereal and/or like I did it on purpose, or does it just look blurry? Thanks and here is the link.

I have to go to work today, it is saturday here!!!!! I need this job, I need this job, I need this job .......... I keep telling myself. I am getting miserable but ...... I need this job, I need this job. That is my mantra! I think on the way to work I will get a cake to share, that should brighten things up! Everyone else here is asleep, I am ready to go but dont have to for about forty five minutes. Yay, I will play around and check the store. Not that I need any more stuff. I havent done one thing for CIJ, I am just too pooped, too anxt, too up, too down, too tired. That is my whinge for the day. I just heard on the news some man stole a tank (yes, Army tank!) not far from here and rammed a few power poles over night!! I bet he wasnt hard to track down!!

Vallie, take care of yourself and rest when you can. I noticed you were on hello today, when I am sure you were supposed to be sleeping in that part of the world. :)

Fourteen of them, so the whole family got to go, except dh and one SIL who were working. for them, but I guess I didn't feel too bad since the kids and I went anyway. hehehehehe We had a great time and the movie was fabulous, even if they had to cut a lot out of what happened in the book. Congrats to all the prize getters for CIJ. I must have been bad..Santa didnt visit me:cry:  , maybe it was because I only managed one layout for CIJ:think:  .      (it means that my download speed goes back to snail speed until the beginning of my next download month:cry: )
Just wanted to wish you all a happy CIJ day and hope you all have fun at the crops and chats...I probably wont see you there as my computer always chucks a wobbly during chats with lots of people and I get very agitated as I desperately try to chase freebie links as they disappear off the top of the page or I try to scroll back for them only to have the window snap back to the ongoing conversation! AND THEN, I go to post a comment and the darn thing freezes on me and I have to close down and re log in:mad:    . There, that's my whine for the day. Hope the rest of you have fun though

Vallie hope you feel happier soon and WOS again! That bloke with the Army tank must have been tanked to the brim and should be very tankful he didnt hurt himself or others:) (I apologise for the bad puns but I like them:))

Gundi I have been to the movies twice during the school hols with my grandkids, I saw Elephant Tales with the seven year olds, Bridge to Terabithia with the 9 year old and unfortunately, the big kids think they are too big to go to the movies with their Grandmother now so it looks like Ill have to go see HP:harry: by myself!!! Hubby would hate it and none of my friends are :harry: fans. I must say I always enjoy the books more than the movies though.

But then it had me thinking--how awful to have limited high speed! Is that common down under? or is that the particular plan that you're on? I used to have dial up, but when I got serious about genealogy and needed to download so much, I broke down and subscribed to one of the local high speed companies.

Come to think of it, I think I have seen that some rural areas don't have high speed access...I guess when it comes down to it, I am grateful for what I do have!

I have the CIJ schedule posted right by my computer but the Old Dear tells me we have to go to a Graduation party this afternoon. We aren't fond of the grad's mother and really aren't fond of the graduate, but the grandparents and father are dear friends. Hopefully we won't stay too long and I can get back to CIJ. I, also, was able to snag all the freebies and buy a few things I "need" but not participate in any challenges. I take AWFUL Christmas photos. Too much excitement and all indoors and way too close. Well, let's see here ... ... A couple of things we could do. If you have screenhunter, you could hurry and take a snapshot of the window with the link in it and then go type it in later. Or, you could sit by one of the other grannies and we'll copy it and put it in the private window for you to grab. Or, you could open the chat history when you see a link instead of trying to grab it off the screen - it should be right there at the end of the chat history to copy and paste from there.

I'm already in the chat room trying to save a couple tables for the grannies to sit at. Sit by me and I'll try to help keep up in the private window!

My Hello seems to have a mind of its own too! I usually have my computer on all the time and just turn off the monitor or turn on the screensaver. I don't think I have Hello on but when I come back after a while, there it will be with the start of a conversation with someone! They probably think I am being rude or stuck up or something! I live kind of backyard-to-backyard with the public library and our seagulls like to sit on their roof. This morning right after sunup they started squawking and have barely taken a break since! There's a big flock of them will just up and fly around in circles, circling over the library, squawking and screaming, then they will all settle down on the roof a while (catch their breath I guess), then they'll all get up at it again!

Thanks so much for the suggestions and the offer, Lisasmom, most of the chats were in the middle of the night for me, but I logged in at 8am this morning and managed to get Linda's freebie..I didnt chat though because there were 80 or so people there and my computer would have frozen. I stayed there and Becky came along to fill in for Kim, so I followed the chatting along, then SANTA arrived, everyone must have said "Hello" at the same time because my computer froze at the "Welcome to the chat room Santa" post!!! My internet connection IS ADSL broadband, but you have to dial up to get connected and I can still use the phone whilst connected, I have unlimited download but I get "throttled" after 1gb of download and then it takes something like half an hour to download just a small file, but that is OK most of the time (except for big chats:))as the cost of my internet fits nicely into my budget and I am reluctant to change to a higher cost plan.

I forgive you for making funof my puns Scamp:lol:

I'm still catching up on the posts here, I will be back....might venture into the chat room again and see if any of you are there.

Everyone froze when that happened! :( It's amazing, and frustrating at the same time! If everyone starts typing at once--ZAP!

I finished my Super Layout (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=200848&cat=500&ppuser=52413) with 20 of Becky's kits!! 69 big points!! Can you top that?!?!? Hmmmm....

  Well, she did it!!!!  gundimom beat me fair and square!!

I wasn't even the champion for a couple hours till she knocked me right outta that winner's box!!! She started with 10 kits, I doubled her with 20, and now she's MORE than doubled me with 43!! I can't top that! 20 took almost my whole stash!! :(

But that's ok! Go gundi, go gundi, its your birthday, its your birthday! :twins: :twins:

My Hello seems to have a mind of its own too! I usually have my computer on all the time and just turn off the monitor or turn on the screensaver. I don't think I have Hello on but when I come back after a while, there it will be with the start of a conversation with someone! They probably think I am being rude or stuck up or something! But really, I am not there! (My dh says I'm never *there*, at least not *all there*!!) Is there a way to set it to be something like, I'm away from my desk but will be back later? :ron:

I always know you will get back to me eventually. :)

Chris, I would forget every time too except that I have started setting an alarm clock! First thing in the morning when I am reading my email and the different threads, I usually remember and set the alarm clock then. It's Kim's 8:00 that I usually miss! I'm almost always up but maybe I'll snooze in my recliner or get into something before I have time to read and set the clock!

Great plan! Hopefully I can remember between 8 and 11 Hmmm :ron:

Curly must have been referring to the Angel poem that started all this ..it would be the first post under Inspiration in the forums .. I always think fo some poor unsuspecting scrapper popping in there foe inspiration on finishing a LO and getting thrown into this crazy world of GITS and Grannies and red threads ! Sometimes they stay ..do you think Curly will ??

Just to tantalize you all to stop by here on your way to there, here's what we're fixing for GranFran for supper:

Green beans with new potatoes (and onions), straight from the garden, and some straight from the grocery store polska kielbasa thrown in;
Grilled cabbage, straight from the garden;
Sweet corn, straight from the field;
Fresh blackened salmon straight from the lake.

Can anyone say "YUM"?

(And pineapple cake, which was straight from someone else's oven yesterday - sssssssshhhhhhhhhhh, don't tell!)
