Hello!! My name is Rhonda (aka Moonshine) and I am soooooooo looking forward to learning about digital scrapbooking!

I'm a WAHM with my last of three children still at home and in high school. It won't be long before she is gone and we'll be back to just the two of us again. :D

I've done all kinds of crafts but mostly sewing/quilting over the many years. I used to scrapbook sometime ago but stopped when my pattern business took off.

The reason I am here is because I was having all our lost wedding photo slides and negatives scanned and put onto CD so I could make a scrapbook of them for our 20th anniversary this month. It's been a while (several years) since I've done any pages, and when I went to search the web to see what was new, here is where I ended up. :)

Now that I have gotten interested in it again, I was THRILLED to see how far digital scrapping has come! OMG.. there wasn't anything like this ten years ago! Since I do a lot of computer graphics work for other things, I'm sure I'll fit right into the digital way of scrapbooking.

I wanted to say THANK YOU to the hosts of this message board for the generous gift of a digital scrapbook kit for signing up. I spent all this evening playing with it and I loooooove how easy it was to put elements onto the "page" and move them around... resize... play with fonts... etc. This digital scrapbooking is Too Cool!!

Now I just need to figure out how to post the page I did with the kit! :)

Anyway.. just wanted to say "hello". I'll be reading through all the various messages for the rest of the week!

Thank you for the welcome. I posted the LO I made from the Welcome Kit into my gallery. I hope that is the right place to put it.

It's not my first LO ever, but it is the 1st digital LO! And I had a lot of fun with it last night. :)

Unfortunately, I have to run errands today, but I plan to spend many days looking over everyone's beautiful work here!

hello Moonshine, I just joined last night and I'm from San Diego area. From what I have been reading and trying to assimilate all day, this is a fantastic site and I'm glad to be here with you!!!

I've been working in PSP 8 for 2-3 years and make all my own artwork, so this will be just another avenue for my art. I just finished making a desktop page for our computers in a scrapbook format, first ever. It's pretty thrilling.

See you on the boards

hugs, Ruth

Sorry for not answering sooner! This message board is still so new to me and I keep forgetting to come back and answer. Oops!!

RuthArt, I am near San Diego as well. We live in the north county but my DH works and commutes to Sorrento Valley for work each day.

Emma, I use Photoshop CS. I've been a long, long, long time user of different versions of PS, but never really thought of doing complete scrapbook pages in it. Of course now that I see what can be done, I'm all over it like white on rice! LOL :)

Welcome, you will love it here! I do, and I am pretty new, since February. I also live close to San Diego, actually Murrieta, but I am from San Diego since 1970.

Your layout is great, and I look forward to seeing more from you! I, too, have been using Photoshop for years and years, it is my favorite program. I am a graphic designer and have many software programs, but PS has always been my favorite.
