Ugh! This is what I have:
Print size: 4 x 6 I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER -- START LARGE THEN
SHRINK DOWN :(
Image >resize>image size: 12 x 12, 200 pixels. Seems like this size is irrevelent now since I shrunk the BG paper. Is this correct? The picture is only 25% of it now.
Web size: 1000 x 1000 - I maxed out. Can't get any larger under 125k
Is this happening due to the fact that I have a small "print size" and can't make the web any larger??
Thanks!

Hmmmm, I don't know what happened. You've uploaded without a problem before, right? Are you able to backtrack and figure out what steps you took to get to this point? Looks like you've pasted your layout to a large white canvas, placing it in the upper corner. I'm just trying to get my mind around what may have happened. If you crop it to the layout itself, leaving off the extra white, then you should be able to resize it so we can see it. I have no idea if my explanation makes any sense, but I hope it may trigger something helpful. :)

Thanks, my problem is that I can't get a larger web size for posting and I think this is due to the fact my picture is just 4 x 6." I was trying to replace a picture that was 4 x 6, that's why I made it that small without thinking! (I should have made it larger and THEN shrunk to 4 x 6).
But, I can't get it any larger for web. I didn't paste anything, I just reduced from a 12" BG. I think I am just stuck with this small web picture unless I do what you said, cut out the white and keep resizing. Yes, I have posted before and never had this happen. I also never shrunk a 12" bg to 4 x 6 - I think this is my problem, in fact, I know this is my problem. So, I will just need to do what you said, cut out the white and resize. later . . .
Thanks.

Oh, Kompressor, I see who you are now, part of Hattitudes. Thanks for wanting to help.
you can resize righ tin the Save for Web dialog box. Just take the full size layout, go to File>Save for Web, and then on the lower right click Image Size and type in the new pixel size, click Apply. Then adjust quality. No need to mess with resizing before with Image>Resize at all. Save for Web makes it 72ppi for you, lets you pick the pixel size. FWIW, anything over about 600px is too tall for most monitors to see w/o scrolling down. For those of us with large monitors who can see an image that big, we forget not everyone does.

Sorry I have come in late here - seems you have the problem resolved? Don't forget too, there is a tutorial on Uploading to the Gallery (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/university/tutorials/dsp_UploadGalleryEP.shtml), which includes links to saving for the web.

I've been gone all day and was wondering if my explanation was going to end up confusing matters even more, but it looks like Emma came to the rescue!! Yay Emma!!! I'm glad it makes sense for you now, dobegal! :)
yeah, I'lll admit I'm totally confused as to what was going on with all the Print Size and 1000 pixels, but it just sounded like a resizing issue that you can do right in the dialog.
I think in the class dobegal took I still had them resizing before saving for web, but I've updated the tutorial and the classes to do right in there now.
