"Cutting" Ribbon Using PSE 4

Hi Digi Scrapping Friends,

I am wondering if anyone can suggest the best way to "cut" ribbons using PSE 4. I have several straight ribbons in my layout, and I want some of the ends to appear like they have been cut on a diagonal, and others to appear to have the inverted "v" cut. I accomplished it (after many tries!) free-hand with the eraser tool, but I am wondering if anyone has a better way for next time.

I have done this using the rectangle marquee tool - just position the corner of the rectangle where you want to cut, then hit the delete key.

It would be tricky to do with your eraser tool. I use my polygon lassoo tool which I'm sure you have? this cuts straight edges. Hope this helps?

Lori, I used the rectangle marquee to cut the ribbons for the CK scraplift challenge. Too hard for me!! I swore I would never do it again. I wish I had thought of the polygon lasso tool. It would have made it a lot easier.
