Kim, with Janet's help, I think I figured out when that FILMSTRIP view won't work:
If you create a new folder and open it before adding images to it, it won't give you the filmstrip...it's like already set up for no images.
If you don't open the folder before adding images, and then add images, it gives you the filmstrip.
If you have no filmstrip because you added images after opening the folder, rename the folder...then it gives you a filmstrip. YEAH!!!
Thank you Janet and Many Feathers!! That has been a burr in my saddle!! :)

to get the filmstrip you can change the properties of the folder you need to set the folder to a picture folder and you will have the option of film strip you can do that to any folder even if it isn't in the My Pictures folder

Went to purchase the kits, showed 99 cents, but when I put them in the cart they were normal prices--too slow today. Electricity went off during the night so alarm didn't go off. I know I missed a great chat.

Elizabeth,
Thanks for that info...it seems to work too. I'm assuming you're meaning changing the "Customize" to Photo Album view. Is that right?
But...when I do that, sometimes it still only shows thumbnails. It seems to happen on those folders that I have lots of images in... do you know if there is a limit to the number of images you can have with the Photo Album view in customize?

Here's my LO's :)
Elizabeth Cissie May (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=99779&cat=940) using Sweet Sage Rose
Rhododendron (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=99791&cat=940) using the Photo Inset Quick Click
Regarding filmstrip in folders; it doesn't seem to matter how many photos are in a folder, you can still get filmstrip. However, before you click View-Filmstrip for your folder, click View-Customise This Folder-Pictures(best for many pictures), then go back and do the View- Filmstrip.
If you don't have the pictures-best for many pictures clicked that mightbe why your reverting to thumbnails. That's how mine are set up and they seem to be working fine :)

Thanks much, Mooshu...that does it!
On some of them, when I switched to Properties-Photo Album, it automatically changed...I didn't think to go back into the view menu. I got it now...
Thanks soooo much!

Do you know how sometimes you are REALLY pleased with how a layout turned out? Well, that's how I feel about this one. I had a bit of trouble finding the right photos to work with this quick click. I wanted to use flowers, but the background didn't provide enough contrast to really show off the inset photos....so after mega-enlarging the main photo and adding a soft edge stroke to the inset photos and adjusting the luminosity and opacity on many "duplicate" layers, here is how my layout turned out:

I hope you like this one as much as I do! LOL!!!
