Hi! My name is Gillian from Western NY. I have been paper scrapbooking for about 7 years now. I have had a digital camera for about 5 years and would love to learn how to digital scrapbook. I am so far behind in my scrapbooking! My problem is I would agonize over every layout. I just don't have the time anymore with my kids busy schedules. I've read briefly on these boards about ploppers and kits and this seems to be exactly what I need. I just want to plop the pics down on already made beautiful templates instead of agonizing!LOL. I looked at New to digital but I still don't know what to do next. Is Scraps of Digital the thing to buy? I have absolutely nothing. I just bought a new computer and it came loaded with a trial version of Corel Photo Album 6. But I have no idea if that is suitable of not. Can anyone help? Thanks! Ooops forgot to ask. Which ever software you are recommending for me, can it be purchased by download instead of cd? Just anxious to start and don't want to wait for the mail! LOL

Well you did take the first step of going to New to Digital....there is a section in there that helps you choose a program.
Choose Your Program (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/university/Scrapping101/programs.shtml)
Once you've got a program you can go shopping at THE STORE (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/) and also check out the FREEBIES (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/place/freebies.shtml). After that check out our TUTORIALS (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/university/tutorials/tutorials.shtml)to find out how to use all the things you've purchased.
Welcome!
Yes, the Scraps of Digital is the starter pack that you'd love because it coms with graphics (and you can load and buy more from anywhere, as many as you want). Photo Album is really only for viewing and organizing your photo and graphics stash, you can't really scrap with it.
Glad to have you at DSP!
