who publishes your stuff? Mostly magazines? Or other things?
What benefit do you get out of it besides exposure?
Do they contact you or do you contact them?

Most magazines pay cash, $25-$100 is the normal rate. Some still give scrapping supplies, which I thought was great when I was still paper scrapping, but dont so much anymore. lol!!!

It's VERY exciting to see your stuff in print, knowing that so many others will be looking at your work and that you had what it takes to land in a national magazine.

You submit to them, and they contact you if they want your pages.

Good luck!

Here is a great site that makes submitting your pages a little less daunting:

Good luck!

I submit just for the pure thrill of having something picked up. It's just such a huge RUSH to see your stuff in print! :)

Memory Makers still compensates you with product. I don't paper scrap anymore but wow, if I did, I would have been THRILLED with what they sent me. Really, it was a TON of stuff. It's now sitting in the corner of my office - not sure what to do with it.

SS & CK send checks - such a nice surprise when you open your mail! :D

I believe at the very least, all mags send you a courtesy copy.

I've learned to have thick skin when submitting. For every layout I've had picked up, there are A LOT that don't and it's natural to get disappointed after awhile.

But when you do get lucky, it's FANTASTIC!!

Do you know that Creating Keepsakes (http://www.creatingkeepsakes.com/) now has a gallery, (click on Community > Gallery) which they say they will use to search out pages? bit slow and awkward (I think!) to upload, but non-threatening and wort a try maybe?
You may find this article (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/university/tutorials/wanttobepublished_mb.shtml) useful?
Funny, I see Sandra, mentioned scrapsubmit? I have not heard of anyone having success there lately? or am I missing something? I'd love to know? Mayve its because I have not been scrapsubbmitting? LOL!

Everything I have had accepted for publication has been submitted through scrapsubmit.com... that is one LO for an online publication, two LOs for Cantata Publishers and two for Legacy magazine. :) I have also submitted a bunch of stuff directly to magazines who do not seem to post at scrapsubmit (Scrapbook Answers, DSM, Memory Makers, DMM.) I have not been contacted about any of those submissions.

Another site where you can find listings is justdigitalcalls.com, although they do not submit your stuff from there. They provide links to the appropriate webpage on the publication's site. You can find calls there that are not posted at scrapsubmit.com
