?? Suite 2006 ??

Does anybody else scrap in DI 2006? I am having problems with the program locking up (not responding). Anybody else? My DH did what MSN suggested and it is better but still getting the not responding message. I am about ready to throw it in the trash. Four of the last six projects I lost because of this and I was almost through with most of them.

I guess this is a sign that I need to learn my photoshop! It is just to hard to do with a three year old running around and sitting on your lap all the time!

I use DIP and I don'thave problems with it locking up. How much memory do you have in your computer? And what is your processor speed and hard disk size? I think I would be tempted to do an uninstall and reinstall. Just be sure to back up your pics/elements, etc.. first. I just had to do a total reinstall on my computer due to a crash, and was able to just reinstall the software, then import my pic files back in. Hope this helps, and others may have better advice, but that is about the limit of my knowledge!

I had this problem in the beginning and what I did to fix the problem is we got more RAM. Now I have no problems and I love DIP 10. Hope this helps.

I just got more memory so that is not my problem. So far it has behaved this week!! :) I am just trying to save my projects along and along now.
I had version 10 before this and did not have problems. It was when I upgrade to 2006 that it started.

So aside from the freezing, How is the 2006 version??? You said that you had 10 before. May I ask why you upgraded??

LOL Dumb me didn't know that it was the same program I already had on my new lap top. I was looking at something to animate pictures at the time, and it was the cheapest program.

I found a web site last night that a lot of the scrappers used DIP. I think my problem is now fixed. There seems to be a problem with an automatic MS update. My DH also upgraded my video driver. Hopefully I will not have any more problems.

The main difference in the program is the added tools like the magic wand. You are also suppose to be able to use plug ins according to the site I found last night. I wish I had bookmarked it now. Oh well I am sure I will come across it again one day.

I use Digital Image Suite 2006 and have had no problems with it. Glad to hear that you've been able to fix your problems (for the most part)!
