I really want to find a program that will let me keep thumbnails on my hard drive but store the pics on disk, same with kits. From what I understand, Picasa doesn't do this correct? I want to look up the picture and have it tell me which disk it is stored on. I would also like to have the tagging, keyword, etc features but I expect that most programs for photo organization will do this. are there any that will allow me to do this?

pse4 does this and also jasc after shot. Both are very easy to use.

Picasa does all you want for images on your hard drive but it will not "remember"'those images on a cd -as it has to recall the pathway - which of course will change with each cd you put in the drive
- I do teach a class on using Picasa for organisation and for editing photos - it has tagging and keyword functions and also has some wonderfully easy photo editing tools
I was just in PSE 4 tagging and organizing my photos. I discovered you can export your tagging system to share with someone. So if any of you have a scrapbook tagging system that you think works and are willing to share, :) the steps are simple to export tags, save and send. I have only started on my personal photos, haven't even touched Scrapbooking stuff. The TAGS ONLY export, no files.
Also, how do you save a thumbnail of a CD with PSE 4?
