View Full Version : Tea for Two & Two for Tea (T42 & 24T)

You are all invited to tea - yes, come along for a cup or two in the chat room on Thursdays at 11.00 a.m EST (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/forum/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=669&day=2006-6-8&c=1)
At our first chat I will be introducing my pretty new kit, Blossom Bower - it is not in the store yet, waiting hopefully :) so I have attached a preview for you to see. All those who attend the chat will get the add-on link free!
My first project with my new kit is to make a Gratitude Album - anyone who watches Oprah will be familiar with the concept of a Gratidude Journal, how wonderful for scrapbookers to be able to make one in picture form :) Come along to the chat to find out more - how you can help me with my next project and win more :)
So, I look forward to seeing you in the chat room :)

I would love to be joining you for you new chat Meryl, but unfortunately 11am EST translates to 2am NZ time. Will you be posting challenges etc in the forums?
Love the new kit and have a great time at the chats.

But, alas, I work!

I hope to be home. My DD has a 7:30 Dr.'s appointment  so for a change we shall be awake for a morning chat! I love the pink polka dot paper in the add on package. My baby's favorite color too.

06-07-2006, 05:17 PM

But if it's 2am for NZ does that mean it will be 1am for me !!!

06-07-2006, 07:39 PM

06-07-2006, 08:28 PM
BUMMER...I work during the day so I will not be able to attend the chat. I am hoping that we can still participate even if we cannot attend. Will you be posting the particulars here afterward, Meryl? :)
06-07-2006, 09:20 PM
Rats! I work in the mornings and cannot attend. I LOVE the preview. Any chance you can repeat the chat at night? *grin*
06-07-2006, 10:01 PM
Meryl...can you repeat this chat at night.
06-07-2006, 10:12 PM
I can't make it either! I also will be working during that time. I would LOVE to make a gratitude jounal and scrap along with you gals though. Will you be posting the challenge every week in the forums for those who can't attend??? :p It would be MUCH appreciated!!! :)
06-07-2006, 11:13 PM
Meryl this sounds like fun. I plan to be there and learn more about Gratitude Journals and albums. See you tomorrow.
06-07-2006, 11:21 PM
I'm thrilled so many of you plan on coming, look forward to seeing you. For those who cannot attend, yes, I do understand the time issue, but as you realize, working with the world and all its times it is impossible to get a time which suits everyone........
What I though, maybe we could run the chat and a challenge in the forum? with any luck we will have an "official" sub-forum soon :)
Look forward to seeing you :)

I am really looking forward to this new chat. I hope I don't oversleep! I know it will be 11:00 EST (my timezone LOL) but I am a night owl and sometimes don't get to bed until 4 or 5 AM.....Going on 2 AM now...LOL. I should probably go to bed...but scrapping is just to magnetic!
06-08-2006, 01:32 AM
I 'll try to make it Meryl....
It will be bedtime for the kids and i hope they will sleep by that time. :)
06-08-2006, 01:49 AM
I'll pop along :) It's the right time for tea too - 3 to 4pm here in England - see you there :)
06-08-2006, 03:01 AM
Sounds like great fun and I love the preview but I think it's 3am here so I won't be attending - for some strange reason. I'm not quite as dedicated as you Meryl - I don't get up that early for scrapping! :)
06-08-2006, 09:22 AM
Yay we now have our own place in the forums T42 & 24T (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=332) - all details will now be there :)
06-08-2006, 09:30 AM
Sorry Meryl I can't make the chat. LOL Sleep is winning over today. I did not get my DD to bed until after 12:30 this morning and that bright and early Dr.'s appointment ment no sleep for me.
I do hope this is a challenge in the forums. Will check back later.
06-08-2006, 09:57 PM
Ohh Meryl; the kit is really pretty :) Wish I hadnt missed the chat. I found the posting after the fact!!! Will try to be there next week.

Kelly - Did you see that Meryl is going to be away...so no chat next Thursday, June 15...but will be the following Thurs. ALSO....you can still get the chat freebie addon kit by buying the main kit, doing a layout and posting it to the T42 gallery, then PM Meryl with your gallery link and you can still get the Freebie addon kit. Your layout needs to be done with the main kit (and when you receive the addon, that can also be mixed with the main kit). You can also use elements from Meryl's other kits, but not from other designers, because Meryl is going to scraplift the winning layouts and make a plopper album, so they need to be her designs. See Meryl's posts earlier in this thread for additional "Rules" and details on where the gallery is located, etc.

Here is my layout this week using Meryl's wonderful Basic, Basic page kit and elements from the Freebie_01 and Freebie_02 sets. I did this layout for Mery's Heritage chat this week, so it is in that gallery for now. I was stumped as to what kit to use, so I ended up going back to "Basics" (haha....pun intended). I was pleased with how it turned out, as the elements in the Basic, Basic collection were perfect for my research notes.

Here is my layout for week #3 using the Basic, Basic collection! What fun grabbing papers and elements from these kits and trying to invent new ways to use them. They really are the perfect basics with a wonderful bit of grunge!!
