We need MENTORS!!!

All you experienced digiscrappers we need you!!! We've currently have 32 mentees signed up with the mentoring program and we need mentors!!!!

We have request for pretty much all programs:

Photo Impact
Picture It
PS5, 7, PSCS
Scraps of Digital
PSE, 3 & 4
PSP 7, 8, 9, 10 & X
Publisher
Scrapbook Factory

Your responsibility as a mentor is to help a mentee learn the basics of digiscrapping with their software. Your commitment is for 3 months. The next session begins July and ends in September.

Work through tutorials provided by DSP or just answer the general questions. Help them to understand how to use certain products in their software. You do not need to be an expert to be a mentor, this program is NOT designed for you to teach them how to make elements it is to help them put together layouts and get a general knowledge of their software.

You don't have to resign up I will send out an email in the next couple days asking existing mentors if they'd like to do it again. However if you do sign up I just won't email you because I already know :)

...so I'm not sure that my help would be needed...but let me know if something comes up that I could help with.

OH yes please sign up....people have listed just PSE and we often run out of pse mentors so the more the better :)

Okay...I just signed up.....but I can only mentor version 2 of PSE.
While I was visiting my cousins they bought PSE4 and installed it and I opened it up and went....."HUH???"....felt like a newbie all over again.

So while the versions are similar, I'd not want to confuse someone with my instructions if they're using a different version.

Otherwise....this could be fun!!! And it's a great opportunity for all of us that have been blessed with help and encouragement by others here to pass some of that knowledge on to newer members!! I think that friendship and willingness to share is part of what sets this site apart from many of the other ones out there.

Mentoring does NOT take a lot of time. Even with my crazy busy schedule I usually mentor 2-3. My mentees have been more active this round, but its still maybe 20 minutes a week!
Usually I just give them CC and point them to tutorials that will help them. If they get stuck, I help :)

Carla, you and your mentor set your schedule so you both decide on times that will work the best for you. Just make due....I'm sure it won't require a HUGE time commitment.

If it isn't too late I would like to sign up. I have had mentees before but only one didn't disappear, or just not respond. I have the time and would love to share whatever I know with someone else on Photo Shop CS. I use Hello and found it a wonderful mentoring tool.

I know I'm fairly new, but I'll have taken all my classes, and I've been using PSP a while now - and I'm a fair old whizz with Publisher, having done newsletters for a couple of years :)

Holy Cow, I just signed up to be a Mentor. I have not done this before on here. I have answered ?s of others before and it is so fun to see someones excitement when they learn new things in their program.

I was reading that Tuesday is Mentoring day, does that mean that we talk in a forum or in a chat. Can you tell I have not done this before? ;)

Forgot to mention I use PSPX and I also use Hello.

well that's just the day we've set aside at dsp...but you and your mentor work out what is best for you!!

There is a chatroom for mentors & mentees or you can use your own im program however/whatever the 2 of you (or if you have more than one mentee) work out.
