Which version?

I don't have this program but know X is the newest version. I see in the Best Buy ad it is on sale this week for 29.99 after some rebates. However, reading the reviews on Amazon most people aren't very pleased with it. I was ready to buy it until I read that in the newest version quite a few things were taken out that were in earlier versions. I am going to take the online classes here and want to make sure that I have something that will work.

What version do you have? Do you have X and notice the changes? Which version would you recommend? I can get 8 or 9 on either Amazon or Ebay.

I have X and love it. I used 8 for 1 year and was glad to be rid of it.I have been using X since Nov.2005 with no major problems

I use 9 but have 10(X) installed on my husband's computer. I love 9 but I think X is not much different. I am sticking to 9 as I have lots of stuff loaded into it and as I am very happy with it I don't seen any particular reason to upgrade just yet. I used to use 6,7, and 8 too. 8 used to get very slow working in layers and jam up sometimes but 9 is fantastic. :)

I have PSP9 and PSPX. I mainly use PSPX but I think they both are great. The only reason I upgraded to PSPX was the price.
