This is so cool! I have PSE 2.0, and after watching Dotto Tech yesterday, decided it's time to get PSE 4.0. Looks like it has some really neat features. And now with this cool dsp bonus, puts this at the top of my list!

oh man - to think that I bought PSE4 for my mum just last week for the express purpose of her learning how to do digital scrapbooking. Oh well... for those who are yet to buy -- great deal.

Hmmm, laptop has PSE2 - this could be interesting. What exactly is on the CD? Just curious....
On Edit: Oh, OK, I see the thumbnails now. My apologies - I did not mean to offend or imply that this wasn't a great deal. I was simply hoping for a list. Sorry if that is out of line.

As a relatively new digital scrapbooker, I've been checking out different types of software and playing with what I already have (mostly bundled programs with printer, scanner, computer, etc.) to see if I really really really need to spend $100 for PSE. Despite heavy hinting no one in my family has come through with it as gift so I've continued to try to make my own programs measure up. I was so happy to see this great offer and bought it right away. WOW - a rebate and a DSP CD!! It's the deal I've been waiting for - it's my lucky day!!
THANKS!!

I need help! I can't seem to find a place to post questions, so I hope you don't mind me posting here. I've been digitally scrapbooking (without realizing what it was called) for years, but this last year, I've found this whole world of digital scrappers and am so excited.
The only purchased program I have is Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook Designer and I really like it, but I'm ready to move on and am thinking of PSE 4.0. I've looked at the online demo and there are certain elements I like and others I don't think I need. I also use Picasa for photo editing, but would like something that offers more options, have a little more fun with my photos.
I also have questions about the PSE or PSCS programs in regards to layout options. For example, I've purchased quite a few digital kits/paper packs/elements/ribbon, etc., but I don't have the capabilites to take full advantage of many of them, i.e. tying bows from ribbon, laying vellum over solid pages and getting the transparent look. That's something I noticed the Scraps of Digital program had as far as text.
Another example, I've noticed pages that use the layered effect really well for straight pins (the 3D look - coming in and back out), adding ribbon to tags through the hole. I just really need to move forward and am not sure what additional programs to purchase. I could use some help! Thanks so much! ~Amber Mahoney

PSE would be great for you. it and PSCS will have options you'll never use and that's okay! you can't "tie" ribbons into bows, you have to draw them, or use ones designers draw (that's what i do!). but the rest PSE can do just fine. the starter kit (www.scrapsofdigital.com) is a super easy for assembling all those kits and papers, PSE is a little harder but will allow you to add shading and other things for adding the realistic look to your own creations. stick with picasa too, it's great!

An update to my post from yesterday - I went ahead and downloaded the trial version of PSE4 while awaiting my CD version to come in the mail. (I don't have photoshop in any other version so I'm not sure I'm going to qualify for the rebate if its only for upgrades, but now I don't care.) I wish I had tried PSE4 months ago because now I know why so many people use it. To me it's sort of like the difference between dial-up and a high speed connection. The difference is phenomenal! It was the rebate and free CD that got me to finally buy, I hope DSP will be able to continue to partner with Adobe using this great marketing strategy.

Just checked this out as am considering upgrading from Vs 2. However, the free DSP CD isn't available with the Mac version of PSE4. Am I mistaken?

I would like to purchase PSE for MAC. Does the rebate and Free DISC work on MAC, and can you still get it if it is after June 19. If the answers are all yes I am ready to purchase. HELP!
