Next challenge! :)

Featured Designer is TINA! :)

This time it's a BOGO - Buy One, Get One Free! Purchase either of these kits and create a layout using some of her word art from whichever you get and she'll have a free set of word art designed around the next challenge.

Font Families: Seems Like Yesterday
http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=2798

or

Remember When (great set to use for an entire album)
http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1970

You don't have to buy either to participate in the challenge, but in order to get the BOGO offer, you do. ;)

CHALLENGE:
What was your neighborhood like when you grew up? Lots of other kids to play with? None becuase you lived out in the boonies? What did you do in your neighborhood - was there an empty lot where kids gathered? Did you ever build a fort or playhouse? Was there another family, older couple, friends of you parents who you were close to?

OR

MOVIES! What memories does that one word jog for you?

If you have memories that jog loose that you don't yet have time to scrap, be sure to note them on your Memory List so you don't forget again!

Tell your story and have fun with this! :)

Oh, this is great! :) Yes, the memories start tumbling once you get them a bit unstuck! That's why keeping a Memory List is such a help! You can't scrap all the memories once they start tumbling, but by keeping a list, you have material for any challenge here at DSP! :D

Looking forward to seeing what all you guys come up with! :)

OK, here is (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=106626&cat=551) my memory about my neighborhood way back in the 80's :)

I listen to every piece of advice I get and then I usually follow my own inner voices. What can I say - I'm a rebel - got kicked out of a ceramics class for not following directions! BUT, I did listen to you about the memory book. Those memories do start to tumble out and now I'm capturing them in my Gryffindor notebook - even if I don't journal/scrap them all - they'll be fun to read through! That is one bit of advice everyone - even us rebels - should follow. Thank You.

He He He! A girl after my own heart! :D

The main thing here is NOT to follow the challenges to the letter, but rather, just get down what stories call out to be told. So, if you do a layout using the products, but not the topic, that's OK, too. ;) And if you don't scrap them, they are there - and that's the important thing!

Why have I been missing this challenge all along???...sooooo many challenges and soooo little time???
I've really got to start in on this - I'm so busy trying to capture all the other memories that I forget about myself and the stories I want to leave for my children. I especially like the idea of writing things down as a Memory List in a journal as I think of them....will start that now!!!

And in the meantime....yes....Tina's word art did jiggle loose a memory or two. So I've got this layout done, and while it isn't from my childhood, it is from almost 20 years ago...(does that count?)
Remember When (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=106838&cat=500&ppuser=23215)

I'll be following this challenge with great interest now!

I did another one. My childhood movie (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=107020&cat=551) that I'll never forget :D

I used Tina's Remember When (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1970) word art. You're right, Janet, this is a great use for an entire BoM. Love it :)

Here is my layout (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=107249&cat=551&limit=recent). I didn't use any wordart this time - I never can seem to use it correctly...if that makes sense? LOL, thanks for this challenge though! Never would have thought that many memories would come flooding back to me - all over movies.

I agree with the others, I can't believe how these simple suggestions just open the flood gates of memories! Thanks so much.

Darn it Janet & Tina, I'm trying to pack for a 2 week trip home and I wasn't going to do anymore challenges and then I saw the Seems Like Yesterday word art and that's just the stuff I always say...so I had to do it. Your guys fault if I don't have the right clothes to wear! Tina's word art is just too tempting.

My layout here about the "neighborhood" where I grew up and Tina's word art

Here is my Book of Me Layout for June 16-30 on Neighborhood Memories, using Tina's "Seems Like Yesterday" word Art. I used Lisa Carter's new "To the Extreme" Page kit, so my layout is doing double duty for the BAK chat challenge this week too. so it will be posted to 2 galleries.

I got a bit behind but I have just combined a bootcamp challenge with this neighbourhood challenge. It's in the bootcamp gallery at present. I'll move it over here when that challenge has ended.
