Maybe I'm cheap...but these classes are expensive. Are they worth it? Any feedback on the D70 class will be appreciated. Also, there is a new class called

From Monitor to Print: Photoshop Workflow.
http://www.betterphoto.com/photocourses/RIC01.asp

I have had issues with print color on my Epson 2200 and thought maybe it isn't the printer.

Is color management this big of a deal ($ for the class) or it is something I can figure out with the help of this board?

Thanks for any input!

I don't think you are cheap. I think these classes are expensive too! I would really like to take some classes but the price is stopping me from enrolling.

I wanted to take some of those classes too, and the cost is just getting in the way. First of all, have you taken the photo classes here already? I am taking the DSU 151 right now and it is awesome. I knew quite a bit about taking snapshots already, but the class has really taken me beyond snapshots and into the controls of my camera, light, etc. Suzanne is just awesome, and I am feeling much more in control of my Canon 20D. AND it was only $30. So that would be my first suggestion. See how much you can learn and read on your own.

As for the color management class, I haven't read the description on that one, but color management gets pretty detailed especially if they are dealing with calibrating your camera, monitor, etc with professional equipment. I think for your printer at home you could probably learn some things online to help you out without having to cough up that kind of dough. It is very possible that your monitor is not calibrated so what you see on the screen is not what your printer is printing. Have you had things printed elsewhere that look like what is on your screen? Is it only your printer? If you google color management, there are lots of resources out there. HTH

I agree, you can't beat Suzanne's classes. You will learn so much and Suzanne is just so helpful.

OMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMYGOSH!!! My ears were burning! You guys are THE ABSOLUTE BEST.

I can tell you that I am really looking forward to taking one of LISA'S (paths) classes!!! I do think they're worthwhile - especially if you look around and compare prices. DSP classes are REALLY reasonable for all that you get (wink, wink).

Pam and Bridget (and Jennifer, LOL), you guys all get EXTRA credit for being such great students! I love ya!!!!!!! SMOOCH!
