For July, I'm doing this a little differently. I've loved a lot of the schemes you've all given, and so I'm giving you a "break" from giving me more, and I chose another color scheme out of the group.

This time I want you to post theme suggestions for it, please! It's a beautiful choice for christmas stuff as it was posted for, so I won't rule that out, if that's what you all want! Otherwise tell me if you want it to be a baby girl kit, heritage, monster truck kit, whatever!

Kinderkim's color scheme (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=103624&cat=2379)

So Kim will get the kit free, and whoever gives me the theme I choose will get it free, too. Then of course I'll probably make some extras to give as a posting bonus when the kit is in the store. What do you see in those pretty colors? Thanks!

I think these colors are so warm and inviting and comfortable.....I like Home for the Holidays as a theme. I'd love to have these colors on my dining table! Maybe some pink and green backgrounds, with crystal and silver frames and elements like ornaments and baubles, and of course some pretty pink poinsettias to dress it all up!

Poinsettia Passion...I can see these colors working with alot of pink and white poinsettias with some backgrounds with different sizes of poinsettias that have like a flocked look to them...poinsettia trims and confetti type punches...
let me go think some more now

These are beautiful colors and I think a Christmas kit out of them would be great!

I am getting ahead of the game, and thinking of names!!! I looked around at the various varieties of poinsettias, and they have some wonderful names! Some examples that have these colors are:

Champagne Punch
Angelica Pink
Monet Twilight
Strawberries and Cream

I think any of those would be a great name for whatever theme you choose!

Actually, now that I've put down the names, they kind of lend themselves to thinking of elements. Such as, Monet Twilight could have impressionist backgrounds, and Champagne Punch needs bubbly silver and gold stuff.

GREAT!
this idea has been rattling around in my head for a while, but i haven't been able to think up a colour scheme... so i suppose this would be the best place to post it!
Coffee House
Some more:
Old Rose and Gingham ( i can picture a little bunch of pink button roses and satin)
Grape vine (dunno where this came from... lol!)

Beautiful colours. Reminds me of late summer early autumn, when roses are overblown and leaves are starting to change. Peaches and pumpkins and arches covered in vines and tendrils curling around. Dragonflies and butterflies, trellises and lattice. And spiders .... hee hee, had to put that in! :)

Reminds me of van gogh's pink peach tree in blossom. I think Peach blossoms would make a beautiful theme. It could be fresh and fruity or flowery, soft and feminine or have an oriental touch.

I think heirloom when I see these colors. The pinks and greens would look great with sepia aged photos I have from my mom. As for a name for a kit...I have no idea! I'll have to think about that one.

Well, I have news - You WILL see a Christmas kit in these colors! That will be for CIJ. Samara chose it as our official color scheme for that event.

Now, keep posting ideas for my theme, and thanks!

I remember liking these colours when they were put in the gallery and now I am thinking dark chocolate with them- with fillings of course- pistachio, mint, peach, strawberry raspberry with perhaps some funky choc box shapes to act as frames or embellishments.

what about an Artist's Journal? Color swatches, stick pins, library pockets to tuck special clippings in, those neat string tie circle things, crumply tags, lined & blank spiral paper, dymo label words or alpaha, maybe a paint brush and little pallette, and rick rack to tie it up with..... oh man, now I really want a set like that! LOL

I think you could do a 50's retro style Christmas kit with these colors. I'm thinking old style glass ball ornaments, strung popcorn, oranges, cranberries, old fashioned tinsel icicles, bubble lights, big bulbed lights, baby dolls, cowboy guns and hats.

I can't seem to shake the vision of a dining table out of my head on this one....so since this color scheme is going to be used for Christmas, I think that a theme around dinner - something like Evening Out or Family Dinner. I see linens, mats and napkins, and ribboned/silver napkin rings...fancy placecards for journaling, and frames and holders for them...and crystal, flowers, silver and candles.

IN The Meadow...
My son is watching Bambi right now and all I can hear is the meadow so that is sort of blocking out any other sort of thought train I might be able to catch. :) So I was thinking lots of flowers, grassy backgrounds or overlays, whimsical things, may be a bird, some velvet ribbons, frames made from petals, may be some vines entangled together to make ribbons or frames. Stepping stones with some words or fossil like impressions on them....leaves, fern, flowers, etc.

Oh, and Gail, I passed your Xmas ideas on to the rest of the CIJ makers!

I'll check back up the thread to see who wins the kit free, but I think it was more than one person...

There is a companion kit to this one - stand by for a challenge as regards them in August.
