Well, I'm not sure what has happened, but my screen now bounces quite a bit when I visit this site. I know there was another thread about this issue (it had to do with the cycling ad and it was started several weeks ago, but I can't find it.)

It's not a huge bounce and it doesn't do it constantly, but it is definitely bouncing and I can see why some people said it kind of gives you a headache. I'm using Windows XP and Internet Explorer - don't know if you need that info or not.

Sorry! Just wanted to let you know.

thanks, we're still working on the issue. each fix doesn't turn out to be a fix. but we'll stop that darn bounce soon! :)

Yep, still bouncing for me, too:( I use IE5.0 on a mac. It's really bad. Also at the new chat room it bounces & blinks a lot. Since it's related to the cycling ads, couldn't they just be put on the site in a different way instead of the cycling ads? Could they be put on the site as small clickable banners or "picture links", or whatever they're called?
Sadly, I don't come here very often anymore, because of the bouncing screen:( I really miss coming here:(

ack! we get one thing fixed and can't get the cursed bounce figured out. we can do ads differently, but we need them to be random for the advertisers paying for them. but we also don't want to turn people away! their tech support hasn't helped obviously and we're looking at other scripts. amanda's working hard on it, but again we don't have a mac to test each fix with. she's out this weekend, and i'm on too many other projects, but we'll get this licked yet! sorry!! :o

Hi Margie,

Don't know if you need this info or not, but I'm not on a Mac - I'm using a regular PC with windows XP and internet explorer. My screen bounces, but just occasionally and it's only a slight bounce now, so it's not as bad/frequent as when it started happening in September. Anyway, didn't know if this info helps you guys at all.

I'm on XP and have noticed that if it starts bouncing, it seems to be while it's still loading the ads. To stop this, I just hit stop. Usually that takes care of it and I can go where I want. On the next page I go to, it usually doesn't bounce.
