Book of Me July 16-31 Featured Designer is KIM!

Kim's got SOOOO much great stuff in the store! The challenge for a bonus from her is to use something that's in her listings in the interactive catalog in the store. To do that go to the catalog (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/includes/catalogbydesigner.php) and choose Kim Liddiard in the drop down box where you can "select designer" and then click the submit button. Instead of listing specific kits, Kim is requesting that you use something you haven't used before. AND...keep checking back to that list as it'll change with her new additions which will also count!

Things that Stir my Soul - picked this idea up from a mixed media artist who picked it up from another mixed media artist. What things move you to your core?

and/or

Songs that transport you back in time - we all have them, those songs that come on the radio that just instantly take you back to a place in your past. Scrap one or two of those!

Well this is going to be fun! Just today I broke down and bought the Au Naturals kit, add on back pack - the whole shabang! I won't have any occasion to use it I thought, but those are just too YUMMY to resist (having just boys is limiting artistically, lol). But voila! Here is a reason to use them, lol. Well, gotta put my thinking cap on and once I get my crashed laptop back, I will start!

I love the textural quality of the leaves, the dried flowers, I can smell them even! Kim, I believe this may become my favorite kit - I don't see how you can top it. I really don't - but please, prove me wrong!

wow. this challenge really inspired me--i knew just what song to do.

actually, i think i may eventually do an entire album of hymns, etc that have strong memories attached. my parents were both musicians and i come from a very musical family. music is a big part of my life and my memories.

I used Kim's summer quick click - which was on the interactive catalogue when the challenge was issued but I think it's dropped off now. I also used her corinthian passport addon pack which isn't new in store but it's the first time I've used either product so I hope that counts.

This Book of Me challenge included using something of Kim's in the interactive catalog that you hadn't used before. I missed the Shadowbox Silver Kit the week it was spotlighted in Digital De*Lights so took this opportunity to purchase and use this fun kit.

Well, now that CIJ is winding down, I finally have some time to get back to the regular challenges. As soon as Janet announced the topic for the 7/16 to 7/31 BOM layout, I knew that this was the song I wanted to scrap. The events are not always uppermost in my mind anymore, but whenever I hear this song, I am transported back to this day...
