I followed the beginners tutorial for ps and this is my finished result! I can't wait to tinker some more. I can tell this is going be addictive. So whatcha think? It's pretty simple, but I'm still learning. I took these pics a couple of weeks ago on a harbor cruise.

So I have a question. The more I look at it, the more I don't like the lettering of the word 'Boston'. It just doesn't look 'real'. Especially laid over the real ribbon and the textured background. Is there anything I can do to the lettering to make it look more like something I pasted down? Would I need to download letters? Or is there something I can do to this font?

I love Boston, too! Just visited for the first time last year.... If you make your word "Boston" with a softer font and maybe not all caps and then give it a drop shadow, it might look a little better! Great job - the photos are fantastic!

Thanks! I live in Boston so it's home sweet home for me!
So when you say 'softer', do you mean something more feminine? Not quite so bold? Do you think it would look better without the black outline or if I texturized the lettering?
Thanks again!

What do you think of this?

Sorry to be asking so many questions but I have another...
What are the benefits to having your pages printed in hard bound books as opposed to having the pages printed and put in a binder-style scrapbook. Their both a little on the pricy size, and I would hate to get one and wish I had gotten the other. The one thing I don't like about the hard bound books is that you can't add to them if you want to.
