Is there any way to do it other than going around the object with the free-hand lasso? I use PSE. I know if it's a solid color I can use the majic wand, but say I wanted to cut out a picture of my dog, right around the outline of the dog... I'll see if I can find an example of what I mean.
Thanks! :) Sorry if I'm being such a pain, I know I've made a lot of posts. I guess I have a lot of questions. :P Thanks again!!

ETA:
The way the bride and groom are cut out in this picture is what I am trying to do...

Ask as many questions as you want, it all helps us all to learn stuff too! If you see some technique someone has done that you like you can always send them a private message and ask them about it. I dont use your program I have PSP9 so not much use to you. In PSP I use point to point selection instead of freehand which I used to use. Then I go over the edges to tidy up more. Did you check out the tutorials above, to see if there is anything there? whichever method you choose, it does take practice to do a good job. :)

From what I can see, I'm afraid she did a painstaking job with this example - in Photoshop I would use the pentool to do this kind of selection or maybe the polygon lassoo tool, whatever you use it is a labour of love! It helps if you are going to put the extracted picture onto a "forgiving" background.
I did a lot of extraction type pages when I did my daughter, Raewyn's wedding pages - one example here (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=68802&cat=500&ppuser=24) - this type of blending is much quicker and I must say I love the look of them too. There are tutorials in the tut section, look for blending.
Hope this all helps :)

What a GORGEOUS LO, Meryl! Gorgeous job! I'm afraid I'm not farmiliar with the pen tool or the polygon lasso... I'll check around in the tutorials, but I couldn't find one specifically on cutting out objects, but maybe I'm being too general. I'll try to look around for info on these specific tools. Someone else also mentioned the magnetic lasso?
Thanks so much for all your help!
