Thank you to all who came for tea yesterday - we had such fun despite the product of the week not being available in store at the time. Good news it IS there now....... Basic, Basic Stamped Alpha (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=3233.html)
As a bonus I have made an Add-On for the Alpha - gallery preview Basic Basic Stamped Alpha Extras (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=119783&cat=500&ppuser=24)
It is available for download, free, until August 17th. It is Password protected - in order to get the password you must:
Post a page done with Basic, Basic Stamped Alpha, in the T42 Gallery, (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=2621) which must be linked to the store in the description - copy and paste this line:
Basic Basic Stamped Alpha by Meryl http://tinyurl.com/g7frs
Then post a link to YOUR page in THIS thread and I will send you the password - no links no password!
Download Basic Basic Stamped Alpha Extras here (www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/freebies/10_BasicBasicStampedAlphaExtras.zip)
In addition, I would be so grateful, especially to those of you who are more experienced scrappers, to detail how you have colourised the alpha - I really want members to be able to use it in any colour - I did it very easy and successfully in Photoshop (notes are included in the kit) but would love to hear from you, how you did it :)

I am curious - is having the link to the kit in the description something we should be doing? I always use the keywords as the link in the keywords section. But should we do both? I just want to be sure I am crediting correctly - I always mention who the kit/elements are from and what kit in the description, but I don't provide the actual link.
And I can NOT wait to use this! But I didn't bring my laptop to work today!!!! Guess I have to wait until I get home - Meryl, you have done an outstanding job with those stamped images!!!!!

OH!!! I went to drool over the alphas (yeah, i am working sooo very hard!) and I noticed something. You have them in lower case - YEAH!!!!!! All the stamp fonts I have are in Upper so thank you for doing that!!!!! Yeah!!!! I can't wait to play!!!!!!

Thanks so much Melanie, glad you like the alpha :)
Wrt the link - putting a link in the description means that if someone looks at your page and likes whichever product you are using, they can click on the link which will take them to the store. Filling in the section in the keywords means that if someone IN the store who is considering buying a product clicks on the "see pages using this product" button they will be taken to your layout - so its a two way thing.
There is nothing to say you have to put store links in normally, nice as it is when members do - I just ask for it as part of the posting bonus.
look forward to seeing your page :)

yes I love the stamped images here is mine please let me know if I havent got the credit right
http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=120143&cat=2621
I recoloured the stamps in PSE 4 by opening up the letter I wanted to use then I create a new layer (so there is the letter on the bottom layer and a transparent layer as the top layer) and then I choose the colour or gradient I want the letter to be and flood fill the new layer then I press Ctrl G and then right click on the top layer and merge down.

That's mine! T42 and 24T I haven't many alphas yet; so this was a welcome addition to my stock.
Using PSP9, I used the magic wand to select the black letter, then flood filled it with my chosen colour (white), then copied and pasted into the LO.

pat I'm afraid there is no button! If you want it as a clickable link you need to use this:
[ url=MY LINK.html]MY WORDS[/url]
BUT do delete the space between the [ and url first............
otherewise just copy and paste the link.

Melanie...do you have your layout posted in the T42 gallery as required by Meryl for this challenge? I noticed that your layout appeared to be in the Fandango gallery. If you read Meryl's first post in this thread she provides all of the specific directions necessary to receive the bonus. You must post in the T42 gallery and you must include a link to the kit in the store. Her post provides a link you can copy into your description. Hope this helps. I wouldn't want you to miss out on the posting bonus!

I am missing DSP and digital scrapbooking a LOT, but the traveling is going well (except for the blowout on the rig on the way to Illinois) and I'm taking lots of photos. We expect to be in Canada in a couple of days and will be wandering the north shore of Lake Superior for a couple of weeks before returning to the USA. I am writing from a library in Cascade, Iowa where we are boondocking for the night.
We just spent five days with music friends in What Cheer, Iowa. Isn't that a great name? It sounds like something that needs to be scrapbooked with the BasicBasic Alphabet, but no time right now. Anyway, we played so much music my left arm got stiff and sore, but we had a great time there.
Time on the computer is limited so I'd better get moving so I have time to at least look at your latest layouts.

Thank you for all your wonderful work. This set works perfect in my opinion on the page of my man & beast.
I didn't recolor for this particular layout, however I did play around a bit using the color replacer tool in PSP X. It worked better than using Magic Wand Selection and filling the selection using the paint bucket. This method lost quite a bit of detail. If someone needs help with either method in PSP feel free to e-mail me. I'm not an expert user, however I can manage those two things.:)

Sorry I haven't been to any of the chats yet. I did manage a quick layout(or should I say card) with your great alpha. To recolour it, I simply converted each letter into a brush, so now I have a neat set of stamped alpha brushes! Of course now that they're brushes it's easy to make each letter whatever colour I want. :)
Here's the link (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=122286) to my page.

Hi everyone! I'm writing from the Duluth, MN public library. If I can talk my husband into hanging around another day or at least leaving late, I'll be at the chat tomorrow.
Duluth is a neat city - nice for walking in at least when the weather is nice like it is now. Our RV is parked right on the docks - boats everywhere, including huge cargo ships. It's hard to remember we are still in the midwest.

Meryl,
Um, there must have been some sort of glitch, because instead of receiving the Stamped Alpha Add-On, I received Basic Elements #3, which I LOVE, and thank you very, very much.
But I would like to have the Stamped Alpha Add-On, too.
I am submitting the following for your consideration, which does not include the alpha but does include the Basic Page Kit and the Basic Embellishment Kit, and if you would like, I will make another Alpha page as well.
A bit of flattery for the designer: You are so very talented, and I'm turning into a Meryl collector. I'm getting so many compliments using your kits and elements! They are awfully nice to work with, too!
