Hello,

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to use tiff files in Paint Shop Pro and if so how???

Thanks

I use PSP9 and can use tiff files just like other formats e.g. jpg, png. The tiff file is a lot larger than the same one as a jpg. I dont use tiff files because of the size, but I turned a jpg to a tiff file and tried out various things with it and there wasnt any problem with PSP. Maybe an older version of PSP may have problems perhaps? Was there something specific you meant to do and was having problems with? :)

every time I load a tiff file, psp9 freezes and I can't get it working so I have to start up again...
Thats why I questioned if I could use tiff files.

I downloaded a freebie that I wanted to try out, and it was a tiff file.

Maybe it is a memory thing. Tiff files can be very large and it may take a while for some actions to go through. PSP9 crashes on me sometimes too. Last time was when I was trying to use Color Replacer. I tried 3 times and crashed 3 times! I just wanted to see what colour replacer did, now I know! Ha Ha! PSPX has a few glitches too so I heard, but there are patches you can download from corel to fix them. PSP8 used to crash on me a lot because of memory problems but generally 9 is a lot better. Sorry if I am rambling a bit! If you downloaded the freebie as a tiff, try converting it to jpg or png, the size should be a lot smaller and try to work on that and see what happens. :)
