Hi, I was hoping I could get some advice from you experienced scrapbookers.

I've recently decided that all the pictures I took while studying abroad in Botswana need to be orgainised better, so I've turned to scrapbooking, and I've been hooked.
I'd like to create an album of my trip, and since I'm a starving student, I can only really afford one to two page kits.
Right now I'm trying to decide between Travel to a Land Far Away (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=685) or A Second Story To Tell (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1723) and/or A Story To Tell (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1557)
I've got a ton of animal pics to scrapbook, but also people and villages.

Which do you think would be the best bet for me? I think the straw and burgandy colours go really well with the African veld, but I'm open to other suggestions as well.

Well, I have the Travel to A Land Far Away kit and it is awesome!

I used it for this layout:

And I only used a fraction of the pieces. I think it's a great kit for your sort of project!

But then Meryl's other 2 kits you have listed are wonderful too. I don't think you can really go wrong here!

I was looking around to see which one I liked for your idea and I was thinking that this one would be really cool...
Model: CDDL-SoL-K-DirtNMud
Check it out and see what you think. :)

I looked at it some more and it looks like it says something about "all boy" on it..I dont know a thing about these layouts, just if I like the overall affect or something. Anyway, what I was trying to say about the dirt and mud one is that it has some beautiful colors that look like they'd enhance your type of photos instead of distract. I've never bought one of those kits before and I don't know much about anything when it comes to this website- someone asks for my opinion tho and off I go!! Good luck picking which one you want. Out of the three you picked,I liked a second story best. Good luck!

Well, the Labour day sale finally jump started my decision. I got the two A Story to Tell kits. I looked at Dirt n Mud; you're right, I think the colours would compliment a safari, but they're a bit too grungy for my own personal aesthetic, I wouldn't know how to use them.

Thanks for all your advice. Please visit my gallery to see the LOs I've finished so far.

Meryl has tons of african safari pages in her gallery. You can check there for ideas and inspiration. She is from South Africa :)

I love the grungy look but I'll make sure not to suggest that in the future to you! :) Did you check out Meryl's page?
