Between now and September 9th at midnight est, scrap a layout using EITHER Mermaid Mania (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=3129) OR Mermaid Magnetism (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=3128) and get these Overlays (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=127527&cat=738&limit=recent) Free! There are six overlays and they come in both sizes for the freebies. When at some point they go into the store the sizes will be separated into different sets.

You may post in the Extras Gallery (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=2645), or if the layout is doing double duty for another challenge, you don't have to, but please put "Mermaid BOGO" in your keywords and a link in this thread so I don't miss your layout!

Katie, my daughter, helped me create this page. She decided what items to add and where and what color. I am not about to let her actually sit down in front of the computer and use the keyboard and mouse, because at age 5, I have a feeling she could create some real havoc--but I am sure that day of complete freedom is swiftly coming! Just on another computer, because kids cause a large portion of virus infestations! Hmmm, both computer viruses and real-life human viruses now that I think about it, sitting here with a nasty cold, compliments of my son.

Christina, I sometimes let my four year old help me, too! She loves to draw and (shh) I have used bits and bobs she made as actual elements in a kit, don't laugh! I think they were background papers done with some painting tools, now don't get me for child labor laws!

Edit: Oh, I see one of them in Vallie's layout far left, above. Mostly black with some bright colors. Um, I can't take FULL credit for that background so I hope my child is a budding artist!
