It's Back to School and Back to Scrapping! :)
The theme this whole month that we'll explore is SCHOOL. You devoted many years of your life there and it's where so much happened that helped to shape who you are today...or at least was how some of your time was spent. ;)
So, first thing is to find some time to just sit and think back - maybe go through some pictures and keep that memories list handy. If you have school age kids, then you have time that you'll be waiting for them. That's a great time to pull out a journal/your memory list and spend 5-10 min on it. Just jot down the memories that come to mind - enough so you'll remember them later on :)
Here are some memory jogs for now - focusing on the lower grades (2nd half of Sept will be on Jr. High and High School):
Do you have any memories of your very first day? Of waiting to be able to start school? What strong memories come to mind of learning to read? To write? At the chalkboard? What came easy to you? What was difficult? Where did you eat lunch? Did you bring a lunch? Eat hot lunch at school? Was hot lunch even offered at your school? How did you get to school and home again? Any playground/recess memories? What was your playground like? Any favorite teacher? Teacher you just endured? The art teacher. The music teacher. The PE teacher. The playground teacher. The secretary, librarian, custodian. The principal.
You've got a million pages in you just on this topic alone! Spend some time finding ones you feel should be scrapped for whatever reason. :) I can guarantee that a bit of time in thought on this will yield some great pages - so let yourself go back. Then just tell what you remember.
Since this topic is so vast, I'd like to encourage you to do more than just one page - so there will be a random drawing at the end for a store coupon or two (depends on how many layouts there are overall). SO POST A LINK IN THIS THREAD for that!
OK - now the designer stuff! :) As always, you aren't required to use the featured kits for the challenge, but that's how you'll get a bonus from the featured designer. And, your layout CAN be doing double duty for other challenges around DSP.
It's LAUREN this time!!!!!!!!!!!!
Use one of these kits, and Lauren will come up with a bonus for you!
