Faithbook Challenge #8

Tara is graciously allowing me to help her with the Faithbook Challenge. So here's my first challenge:

Scrap the words to a favorite song or hymn. Use the entire song, or just use one verse or the title.

Take this wherever you want--add a note about why it's a favorite, or how it moves you. Do this is any style you want--add photos, do it art journal-style, doodle it--whatever!

We're still trying to work on incentives and maybe some posting bonuses--so keep watching this forum for more details! :)

This is a great challenge, but difficult to choose, since I am very into lyrics, and I have so many different songs that represent different points in my life. I think right now the song I am leaning towards is "Blessed Be Your Name" by Matt Redman. Its a very difficult song for me to hear/sing right now...but I really need the words to mean something for me. Okay, here I am posting the story without having a layout...well, at least now you know I'm excited about it...one more layout to do! woo!

If you look in the faithbooks gallery you'll see a layout that I did for one of the other challenges and I used part of the lyrics of that song for it. It's probably my all-time favorite praise song, too.

And thanks to so many of you for 'playing along' with us. I just think a faithbook is a wonderful way to share the joy we have with each other and generations to come!

Just now trying some of these challenges. It's been a little over 5 years, but my renewed faith walk is still new to me. It's hard to articulate my thoughts sometime - thus my online diary. But music - there always seems to be a song just right for any moment! Loved this challenge! I hope to do more of them! This whole faithbook challenge is not an easy one by any means. Actually requires me to think first. ;-) But I'm having a great time thinking about it so thanks for the ideas.

I am glad this one came back! I found a link of christian song lyrics not too long ago. If it's not okay to share, I will edit it out, but it has quite a bit of great songs. You all may want to check it out.
