GET INSPIRED!!!

So, we know that all scrapbooking has an element of "inspiration"... We find inspiration all around us. But freestyle layouts can be even more driven by this element. Where do YOU find your inspiration??

Your challenge this week is to go out and find inspiration... From a magazine ad, or a television commercial, piece of art work, or even a label on a bottle of wine. Find an inspiration piece and create a freestyle layout (remember our freestyle principles!) based around this inspiration. Post the layout and an image (scanned, or linked) of your inspiration by next Wednesday evening (9/13/06).

Be as creative as you can - think NON-SCRAPBOOK! See where it takes you!

And, as always, HAVE A BLAST!!!!!!!!!!

Ok Im not sure about this one at all. While I was looking for inspiration this caught my eye and I thought of this lo. So I guess I did what they challenge asked. I might have to go back and do another one to get a better grasp.

I'm not sure about this one at all ... it's not as freestyle (again) as I would like ... but maybe that is also because I chose a more "traditional" LO inspiration. Anyways, CC very welcome !

While searching for an ad inspiration, I came across an ad challenge on another digi scrap site, but decided to use it for fandango. It reminded me of the promos on TLC that use paint splotches which is what I was originally looking for a photo of.

My boyfriend has both the scanner and the digi camera so I have no way to upload my inspiration tonight. However I can tell you that I got my inspiration from a box that contained Christmas tree lights. :)

Here's my layout for the September 6 challenge. Thank you so much for the "inspiration"... I've had a picture, a poor snapshot picture, I've wanted to scrap because of the memory of the day and just couldn't get a layout done which I thought did justice to the fun we'd had.... reading the chat it dawned on me to use the program from the play as my inspiration piece and let the layout develope from there. I am really happy with it.... I took a lot of what I've learned from the Fandango challenges (using text in different ways, getting your photos out of their little boxes, and inspirations pieces) and have come up with something that took a plain, uninspiring photo and created something that makes me happy to see it and helps me remember what fun my son and I had that day. Thanks Suzanne and Debb!!

Everyone is doing so well with this challenge. I am pretty good at looking at things and getting inspiration. But I was trying to find things that are non scrapbook like.And that has been hard. I think my first attempt was ok but I havent got to do another. We have two sick kids and are preparing for vacation. But I love everyones LO's so far.

I'm sorry Suzanne's not feeling well! But in a way, I'm glad a new challenge hasn't been posted yet because I just got my internet hooked up the other day and this challenge was so cool!
